now dont need worry already.

You are gonna get it shipped from where to where?
Make sure the shipping company is those reputable ones. Some shipping companies staffs mishandle the items causing physical damage which is not claimable. So be careful when choosing the forwarder.

My PC onboard graphic 8mb only
OS is Win98

Can I upgrade to LCD monitor 22" without upgrading the graphic.
Or Compulsary to upgrade the graphic first?

I want to get nice display

Thanks.

Actually DVI cables produces the same quality. But of cuz dont buy those RM5 type la. Those might have lesser copper cables in it.

The problem when buying DVI cables is to choose the right type of cable.

In the market there are DVI-A (analog),DVI-D (digital),DVI-I (digital and analog).
For DVI-D and DVI-I there are 2 types namely, single link and dual link.
For single link, u can get max resolution of 1920x1200 @ 60hz and for dual link it can go to 2560x1600 @ 60hz.
So comes the question u might wanna know, do i need a single or dual link?
This depends on your equipment. Check with your equipment documentation. If you are not sure which you need then purchase the Dual-Link cables. Dual-Link cables are backwards compatible with Single-Link so they will work with both connection types.

Happy choosing smile.gif

I used to have this worry as well as my CRT monitor burned recently. Since from threads some say that LCD optimum resolution was not good due to video card limitation.
My system is win XP, and CRT was running at 1064x768 display. After consulting few others , my input is that it depend on the existing graphic support. Mine was onboard intel display chip as my video card konked out even earlier. Since my CRT was running fine on said resolution I expect the same for the LCD.

Went to PC fair and bought an AOC F22 monitor. Decided on AOC due to its emphasis on quality (0 dead pixel warranty vs samsung 7 dead pixel).
Samsung 2243sw+ was tempting at RM578 but dont like the stand. The AOC F22 had an apple feel to it with an interesting picture frame stand which is much more stable.

Hooked up and give it a go, and to my delight, the monitor auto setup it self to find a working resolution and as expected used the 1064x768 for destop display supported by the graphic chipset. I had tried some tests including running games on different resolution and the monitor cope and changed accordingly. And for movies there is the option to set 16:9 aspect which improve screen size.

The only thing I noted of is that widescreen does stretch websites and photos native on 4:3 aspect. Believe this is a widescreen problem. (any comments to address this).

Yeah, and it comes to that thread also when I'm aware of this product biggrin.gif

However, I noticed only US providing this product which mean it won't be sell or warranty covered by Dell Malaysia?

IPS panel is really awesome compared to TN's biggrin.gif

I'm considering an upgrade to my 19" Viewsonic LCD to bigger LCD. Nowadays a lot of LCD have the resolution of 1920*1080. I'm concerned whether my 2.9GC2D + 8800GTS320 can play games at such a high resolution. If I didn't play at native resolution, how do the game look?
