QUOTE(kayden @ Aug 11 2009, 10:32 AM) Actually DVI cables produces the same quality. But of cuz dont buy those RM5 type la. Those might have lesser copper cables in it. Which type u guys suggest for samsung 2333sw+ dual or single link ? the spec just stated DVI ..dint mention DVI-i or DThe problem when buying DVI cables is to choose the right type of cable. In the market there are DVI-A (analog),DVI-D (digital),DVI-I (digital and analog). For DVI-D and DVI-I there are 2 types namely, single link and dual link. For single link, u can get max resolution of 1920x1200 @ 60hz and for dual link it can go to 2560x1600 @ 60hz. So comes the question u might wanna know, do i need a single or dual link? This depends on your equipment. Check with your equipment documentation. If you are not sure which you need then purchase the Dual-Link cables. Dual-Link cables are backwards compatible with Single-Link so they will work with both connection types. Happy choosing |

QUOTE(kayden @ Aug 11 2009, 12:34 PM) According to Samsung's website, it shows that ur model is using DVI-D. just brought the DVI-D single link cable and test on my monitor ..don't seem any improvement over pic quality over VGA cable on the LCD plus i cant use the auto adjustment or what ever auto function build in by samsung.. After switch back to VGA i can run the auto adjustment function like normal... maybe will try to get the Dual link DVI-D![]() Look at the image above, the female connector can accept single link or dual link. But since ur 2233sw max resolution is 1920x1080, no use to get dual link also. Just get single link enough d. I suggest u bring a picture and show to the shopkeepers cuz some of them are not so well versed in these stuffs. Anyone want to buy my DVI cable ? |

QUOTE(kayden @ Aug 12 2009, 04:19 AM) Digital signal doesn't supports the adjustment of screen sizes, tilting, zoom in out, wider, taller or etc. It is automatically fit to your screen size. If u wanna adjust those, it is only available for analog signals. yup...so dual link can support auto adjustment ?Your problem is you can't use Magic Bright? |

QUOTE(BeastX @ Aug 12 2009, 02:30 PM) By right or design... you will not be able to fit a DVI-I socket into the DVI-D input on the monitor.... the 4 analog pins (above and under the flat/wide metal pin) will impede insertion. so hard to find a good cable here... all selling the standard cheap DVI cable.... Which will cost RM25 - 80 +++The only connector needed (for a sub 2.4Mpixel monitor with a DVI-D input), is a SL-DVI cable..... |
