Magic tune consist of few mode like sport, movie, text, DCR, internet, games..etc. All of them were come with the different brigthness & contrast that set by Samsung, it is convenience for us to switch between mode for different condition.

Hi all you gurus out there!

Sure would appreciate if someone could offer any assistance and advice.

I am trying to get a LCD monitor for some graphics work using Photoshop and Illustrator. Budget is probably up to around 750 ringgit.

I really am quite clueless about what would be needed. I had a look at the Dell site and they have this

Dell Ultrasharp 1908FP Flat Panel Monitor 19-inch Flat Panel Monitor @ RM 539.

The "Ultrasharp" bit sounds nice smile.gif But does it make a difference?

Anyone have any good budget graphic monitor suggestions?

Many thanks!

I'd reckon you'd top up just a little more for a Dell 22" 2209WA Ultrasharp @ RM799 instead(runs on E-IPS panel, great if color accuracy is utmost an importance).

I suggest Dell UltraSharp™ 2209WA 22-inch RM799, 3-inch larger. Those ultrasharp series using different panel like VA, IPS instead of TN panel. Its offer better color accuracy & view angle, this is great for the purpose that you stated above.

Hi Guys...

Thanks for the great replies!!!

Only problem... where to buy this monitor?

Cheers!

EDIT

Found it on the Dell website after a search.

Just curious... are there any shops selling this item? Or we have to buy online?

Thanks again guys!

We have to warn against usage of this monitor for anyone who does a lot of work during nights, or in dimly lit environments. Also, if you like to play movies in pitch black room, then this monitor will not make it. Ditto for games.

i just not get.. why not suitable view in the dark...
and 13ms.. not 6ms?

Hmm. from the review by PRAD, it looks near to perfect. Completely different from the link i posted.
Well, what i can say, you will never go wrong with Ultrasharp from DELL if ur intention is to use for graphic design.

I owned it, ok with it, but if you want to compared with top-notch S-IPS panel which come in 4 digit one, surely no match.

But price wise is attractive as you top up a little compared to TN panel counterpart, you get better colour and viewing angle. Somemore got USB (which is useless for me anyway) and height adjusted and can swivel (which is useful for me).

Also you get zero dead pixel warrant for Ultrasharp premium panel.

Not to say this is surely good, but just at 799 with 100~150 more than TN panel counterpart, and with some extra features others most TN panel doesn't have, seem ok or fair deal.

Oh yea..anyone know about dead pixel?
does it happen to every lcd ??
normal problem?
i wanted to buy lcd(postage). So i ask them to check dead pixel 1st. But they said dead pixel only like asus 26", or somewhere around the range only offers zero dead pixel policy.

I have to agree that the price is very attractive for an IPS panel monitor. No doubt its more affordable than before. Is it 6ms GTG? If it is 6ms GTG, it would not be too bad for gaming, cuz my DELL S2409W 5ms is doing fine. The normal IPS panels are like 16ms response time, how this E-IPS can respond so fast hmm.gif

It does not happen to every LCD. I can say, it hardly happens.
I previously sent my Viewsonic VX922 for warranty and got a brand new one after RMA. But sometimes they might not give u a new set, instead they will try fix the LCD or change the screen for you in the service center.
