Hmm. from the review by PRAD, it looks near to perfect. Completely different from the link i posted.
Well, what i can say, you will never go wrong with Ultrasharp from DELL if ur intention is to use for graphic design. This post has been edited by kayden: Aug 10 2009, 02:37 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 10 2009, 03:09 PM) I owned it, ok with it, but if you want to compared with top-notch S-IPS panel which come in 4 digit one, surely no match. I have to agree that the price is very attractive for an IPS panel monitor. No doubt its more affordable than before. Is it 6ms GTG? If it is 6ms GTG, it would not be too bad for gaming, cuz my DELL S2409W 5ms is doing fine. The normal IPS panels are like 16ms response time, how this E-IPS can respond so fast But price wise is attractive as you top up a little compared to TN panel counterpart, you get better colour and viewing angle. Somemore got USB (which is useless for me anyway) and height adjusted and can swivel (which is useful for me). Also you get zero dead pixel warrant for Ultrasharp premium panel. Not to say this is surely good, but just at 799 with 100~150 more than TN panel counterpart, and with some extra features others most TN panel doesn't have, seem ok or fair deal. QUOTE(Kidz1995 @ Aug 10 2009, 03:10 PM) i didnt follow PC fair..when will it be? It does not happen to every LCD. I can say, it hardly happens.Oh yea..anyone know about dead pixel? does it happen to every lcd ?? normal problem? i wanted to buy lcd(postage). So i ask them to check dead pixel 1st. But they said dead pixel only like asus 26", or somewhere around the range only offers zero dead pixel policy. Is it true? I previously sent my Viewsonic VX922 for warranty and got a brand new one after RMA. But sometimes they might not give u a new set, instead they will try fix the LCD or change the screen for you in the service center. |

QUOTE(Kidz1995 @ Aug 10 2009, 03:40 PM) You are gonna get it shipped from where to where?Make sure the shipping company is those reputable ones. Some shipping companies staffs mishandle the items causing physical damage which is not claimable. So be careful when choosing the forwarder. |

QUOTE(charger @ Aug 11 2009, 03:47 AM) just brought a 2333SW plus.... It don't come wit DVI cable. Any good cable to recommend ? cliptech DVI selling for RM50 ..anyone using that ? Actually DVI cables produces the same quality. But of cuz dont buy those RM5 type la. Those might have lesser copper cables in it.The problem when buying DVI cables is to choose the right type of cable. In the market there are DVI-A (analog),DVI-D (digital),DVI-I (digital and analog). For DVI-D and DVI-I there are 2 types namely, single link and dual link. For single link, u can get max resolution of 1920x1200 @ 60hz and for dual link it can go to 2560x1600 @ 60hz. So comes the question u might wanna know, do i need a single or dual link? This depends on your equipment. Check with your equipment documentation. If you are not sure which you need then purchase the Dual-Link cables. Dual-Link cables are backwards compatible with Single-Link so they will work with both connection types. Happy choosing |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Aug 11 2009, 11:08 AM) Yeah, and it comes to that thread also when I'm aware of this product IPS panel comes with a high response time and higher price trading off for its superb color precision. However, I noticed only US providing this product which mean it won't be sell or warranty covered by Dell Malaysia? IPS panel is really awesome compared to TN's TN offers cheaper price with low response time but color accuracy is not that good. For gamers, TN panels and CRTs are the only choice. QUOTE(charger @ Aug 11 2009, 12:16 PM) Which type u guys suggest for samsung 2333sw+ dual or single link ? the spec just stated DVI ..dint mention DVI-i or D According to Samsung's website, it shows that ur model is using DVI-D. ![]() Look at the image above, the female connector can accept single link or dual link. But since ur 2233sw max resolution is 1920x1080, no use to get dual link also. Just get single link enough d. I suggest u bring a picture and show to the shopkeepers cuz some of them are not so well versed in these stuffs. This post has been edited by kayden: Aug 11 2009, 12:48 PM |

QUOTE(charger @ Aug 12 2009, 01:22 AM) just brought the DVI-D single link cable and test on my monitor ..don't seem any improvement over pic quality over VGA cable on the LCD plus i cant use the auto adjustment or what ever auto function build in by samsung.. After switch back to VGA i can run the auto adjustment function like normal... maybe will try to get the Dual link DVI-D Digital signal doesn't supports the adjustment of screen sizes, tilting, zoom in out, wider, taller or etc. It is automatically fit to your screen size. If u wanna adjust those, it is only available for analog signals. Anyone want to buy my DVI cable ? Your problem is you can't use Magic Bright? |

QUOTE(Veron @ Aug 12 2009, 04:07 AM) Hi to all LCD Monitor freaks of LYN. Previously using Viewsonic VX922 19". The picture are significantly sharper than my DELL S2409W. If it wasn't because i needed higher contrast, i wouldn't have change it. U won't go wrong with Viewsonic's VX series. Viewsonic is a US company that focuses on display solutions. I would recommend u VX2433WM over the rests.I used to set my eye on the AOC Angelo (2494SW) and the Samsung 2494HS, but the Angelo lack the DVI input and the Samsung 2494HS unfortunately did not impress me as compared to others. The color produced by the Samsung 24 incher was rather dull and image ghosting is pretty obvious for a conventional 5ms monitor. While Viewsonic's VX2433wm seem like a good buy; great price, 2ms resp time, matte finish (comfortable for the eye), i am just not too sure in its quality; so how well does Viewsonic monitor fare as compared to the others mentioned in my commentary? |

QUOTE(charger @ Aug 12 2009, 07:08 AM) Dual Link won't solve ur problem as what is explained by BeastX. Dual link only used for higher resolution than 1920x1080.Ur problem might be solved if u are using DVI-I. haven't tried it yet so not sure. My Dell S2409W is using DVI-D and i have no problem using the preset mode. But the preset mode only changes color, brightness and contrast. Size is automatically fitted to my native screen resolution. I really wonder how come ur MagicBright doesn't work with DVI-D cuz it only adjusts contrast and brightness. So weird. |

QUOTE(BeastX @ Aug 12 2009, 02:30 PM) By right or design... you will not be able to fit a DVI-I socket into the DVI-D input on the monitor.... the 4 analog pins (above and under the flat/wide metal pin) will impede insertion. OH ya! forgot liao the monitor input is DVI-D lol.The only connector needed (for a sub 2.4Mpixel monitor with a DVI-D input), is a SL-DVI cable..... S2409W is not comparable to VX2433 becuz they are of different league. VX series are the high end display from Viewsonic. Furthermore the price difference since it's launch is pretty much far apart.
When i bought my S2409, i was also eyeing on vx2433. but @ RM640 for 24" Full HD at that time is a damn good buy. every1 was ordering it like mad. at that time vx2433 was selling at RM780-800. So yea, budget kept me back. |
