p2370 is equipped with hdcp..almost all new monitor equipped with hdcp..
hdcp is high-bandwith digital content protection..

btw,u still can connect to ps3 but for sound u have to use other alternative..if u buy lcd with hdmi like LG w2361v n the other similar to it,u can connect ur speaker to the audio port at the monitor n connect hdmi from ps3 to monitor..for me,it's easier if u buy monitor with hdmi input..

btw,if u want samsung also with hdmi,u can get p2450 for rm900++ or 2494hs for rm700++..

just got a new dell st2310 2day at ALL-IT for rm649..
The colour is sharp enough compare to samsung p2350 and others..
Acer h233h is not bad too..

just with the hdmi monitor wil cause more so think why not get a dvi then buy a dvi to hdmi caple

yes it no different in term of video quality..but if u want to use it for ps3,i think it's better u buy monitor with hdmi..but not only p2450 is good..there are other model like acer h233h,lg w2361v n AOC 2434PW that use hdmi..if u buy the one with dvi only,u have more problem on how to produce sound..i dont have ps3 but from what i have read in this thread,seems like the one with hdmi input is easier unless u are planning to use on pc only..

actually the different between hdmi and dvi is with sound or no sound only
if the lcd come with a good speaker then can go for it.

You can always route the PS3's audio to a pair of speakers individually, without the use of HDMI. Or of course you can even use the optical out if your speakers has support for optical input.

It is better to go for HDMI equipped LCD monitors, simply because you'd want to take advantage of the Deep Color feature for PS3 games and movies.

Only with 10-bit panels and 10-bit (or more) GCs or Video output.

i wanna go ahead n get 50000:1 n i prefer if i get 2ms response time as compared to 5ms.... also i prefer 23" to a 21.5"

now what i am asking is if this 50000:1 n 2ms makes a lot of difference as compared to the other .... and what about the size difference ? does that also make a high difference ?

i dont have a ps. i have xboz n wii at home but they are not mine.

my purpose of getting monitor is for my new pc... so is hdmi necessary cuz as far as i know pc connects to the normal old fashion slot.
unless ofcourse i can connect to pc using an hdmi cable and it really makes a diference to the video quality

also which company... aoc, acer, lg, samsung..... if there is one that i should not buy cuz its a bad company then let me know

2 points. At least a 1080p (1920x1080 panel) with HDMI/DVI inputs (even better with DP, future proof). All the rest are just added gravy/preference.

As i have explained earlier 2ms and 5ms is of no different at all cause your LCD only update at 59hz/60hz. And 2 ms in lcd is always bullshit, they use overdrive (cheating) to achieve this.

32" is of cause the better than 21.5". Having HDMI is a plus cause who know you might get a X360/PS3 in near future. I'm a happy Samsung 2494HS user now connected to PS3 via HDMI and DVI to PC.

plus, the 50000:1 is normally the dynamic contrast, if ure not using dynamic contrast then that number would meant nothing more than just marketing scheme.
