Which is why i recomend to use DILC instead

(DILC - Digital interchangable Lens Camera)

And this is not an EVIL camera either.

3799 actually - but it comes with the kit zoom lens, kit pancake lens and the viewfinder.

for the price, this is quite good. Not a bargain, but quite good.

So what? SLR is not everything. Just take a look at the Magnum photographers. U think they all use SLRs?

It's not expensive. U wanna see expensive, take a look at Sigma DP2 n Leica D-Lux 4. Those r expensive considering they're only P&S cams.

this could be THE camera for underwater photography..

physically small, full time live view, good high iso performance..

add underwater casing, UWA, macro, and TTL strobe... that's an underwater dream machine.

If not mistaken, you'll need an adapter to use the other lenses other than original E-P1 lenses. correct me if I'm wrong on this...

You're wrong dear. All m4/3rd no need adapter. You only need adapter for 4/3rd lens (those e-series olympus lens).

for example now i am using Olympus E3 4/3 format. i can swap lens with panasonic L10 user. No adapter require.

so for EP-1 they can also swap lens with G1 user cause both also micro 4/3 format.

However if EP-1 wanna use lens from 4/3 format then they need an adapter.

so same format no need apater..diff format need adapter..

Thanks for clarifying. rclxms.gif Any cons or restrictions for ep-1 or g1 when using adapater for 4/3 lens? Do they still retain sharpness, no vigentte, etc? Looking forward for the kit lenses offered by third parties as well for m4/3.
