I would suspect more of the Garmin code being incompatible with FP2? The latest update of XT was a few months ago while the E72 was released about a week ago.

this is also highly possible also... since e52 suffers similar problems with garmin... and e52 is like hardware twins... (similar processor and software versions)

for the problematic garmin users... is it installed in the microSD card?

the ori microSD card? class 4 one?

ever tried it on a class 6 version?

what version of garmin? 5.00.50?

maps ok? latest maps?
*
yes installed in the original micro sd

no yet

I can't seem to find that info but e_trade_pj might be able to chip in but it most possibly the latest 5.00.xx

Seems strange that certain users report absolutely no problems - i am sure they too install in the micro sd that came with the phone.

Anybody tried the vulcan death grip on their E72 yet? It doesn't seem to work on mine.

(Don't do it unless you want to wipe *EVERYTHING* on your phone)
Turn off. Press simultaneously: Call Key (Green key w/ phone icon on it), 3 (or Y), # (or J) and turn phone on, keep all buttons pressed until Nokia welcome screen shows-up.

Just bought my E72 from e_trade_pj, straight forward and good seller.

However, I did not play with the E72 test unit before I bought it and I found it does not suit me.

Does anybody know of any refund policy? If I do a trade-in, it will lose a lot of value, won't it?

I'm back with my experience with this phone. Using it for a week and occasionally when i'm on the phone via bluetooth headset, the optical navipad stops working after the call ends. The only way about it is via restarting the phone.
Plus, sometimes it gets very laggy especially when i try to access my sms inbox This is peculiar cause i have no other applications running in the background and i have less than 50 sms in my inbox.
Oh yeah, garmin xt hangs on my unit as well.
I hope they come up with a new firmware soon.

Hm. no problem with my E72. Works perfect infact I am impressed with the functions. However still not my cup of tea. QWERTY keyboard is weird for me. Looks like Im' headed back to iPhone.

for me, a wonderful phone, garmin also doesn't give me any problem. But anyone knows how to show the accelerometer to work, i've tried with all apps with the phone but none can make use of the accelerometer function. And the other thing it he tap-for-time function. Anyone knows about it?

Try turn to snooze and turn to silence calls?
