E72 user reporting in. Zodium black user here. Just got it for 2 days only.

In my opinion, processor speed performs much much better than E71. Opti-Navi is superb. High sensitivity works really good for me. The best part is the side cover for memory card & usb is now embedded instead of protrudding like the E71 (kudos to the designers). 5mp is good upgrade but no more autofocus this time. Gotta manual focus when taking pics lo.

But I got a question, last time I installed Garmin XT on my E71, got a file to delete to prevent battery drainage. Now I installed Garmin XT version 5.00(50), and feels that my battery drains very fast. Anyone experience this? Or the same file as in the E71 has to be deleted? And if yes, wat file is it ya? I forgot liao.

I went to the Nokia retail outlet at Pavillion
They told me its RM1690 for the Nokia E72 - with usual accesories. ( but i didnt really ask more on it )

Well do anyone know anywhr else in KL whr they are selling a cheaper one for the Original model ?
Also is The AP unit out in Lowyat yet ? just curious..

Is expensive, the price that the shop offer you can give you 8gb memory card already.
By the way, if not mistaken new ori set is RM15XX only, or you can try pm e_trade_pj, he is selling original nokia handset.

Lowest price quoted earlier in this forum is RM1530. Is this ori set or AP set? Seems my retailer says price cannot be so low, no profitlah. Got mine for RM1600 and getting my miniSd card back from the shop when the guy played sleigh of hand and took it out of my new phone and transferred my old miniSD card from my E71 into it. As for light leakage, I don't seem to be affected so much by it. If want a lower price maybe wait for a few more months when new models come out. Right now the price of E71 must be falling fast.

juz got mine e72 yesterday, its zitron set, so bad i find one white dot on screen, so obvious when in dark, huhu..

if it is a dead pixel, may send back to NCC to check whether can change the LCD or not..

E72-1 mean asian and america region bandwith.. There is also e72-2 & e72-3 same as e71.. So dont worry bout it.. if u got a e72-2 or e72-3 ...ur keypad maybe more pack with symbol lor.. Plus usually only available from AP COMPANY..

Sounds like lots of bros here got good review of the E72. I'm contemplating between the n97 Mini and the E72. Which would be better?

i got my e72 a few days ago after i lost my e71.

i am disappointed. the e72 no matter which colour does not have the class of steel grey e71. also i don't find it any faster in fact the eye-jarring menu change looks slower to me. the biggest problem i am facing now is that Garmin is freezing/blacking out the screen. it was working ok with my e71.

i took it back yesterday for a reinstall but the same problems persist - the screen goes off after a minute (like going into standby) and then it takes a few seconds to light up again and meanwhile garmin freezes along with the left and right function keys. the only responsive key is the end button but that brings you back to the main screen.

i bought my e71, e52 and e72 from e_trade_pj - good dealer but i am not happy with my unit. Since none of you are reporting problems with garmin, i am suspecting mine is a rogue unit....

Guess you have just to wait for new firmware then.

but some users are reporting no problem with Garmin...

no prob with garmin for mine... silver zitron set now im looking for a better slim case/pouch

for the problematic garmin users... is it installed in the microSD card?

the ori microSD card? class 4 one?

ever tried it on a class 6 version?

what version of garmin? 5.00.50?

maps ok? latest maps?
