recently you suggest to get hdmi cable 1.3c, if somehow only 1.4 available,
does 1.4 hdmi is compatible too with Xtreamer Pro?
*
HDMI 1.4 is backward compatible with Xtreamer Pro and also other HDMI1.3 devices.

It is compatible though HDMI 1.4 is a newer version of HDMI cable which support 3D.

Just bought a new hdmi cable 1.4 sweat.gif
but still it doesn't work.

I just found a problem, which i can't choose "HDMI Auto" directly while hdmi is connected from XPro to receiver.
Its grey out and can't choose.

I only can choose "HDMI Auto" using RCA or hdmi connected directly to the TV.
If I change the hdmi end to the receiver, it will automaticly change the TV system to 1080p 60Hz rclxub.gif

Below is my post on Xtreamer Forum;

Hope somebody can give me any idea to try on !

i'm quite puzzle with your problem...could you slot in the hdmi from xtreamer at different ports using the new cabel? also can u please try changing the HDMI out to your LCD aswell (play around with the HDMI cabel - maybe use the new cabel from AVR to LCD and the old one from AVR to XPRO) also try to set it back accordingly.

As for your xtreamer pro. when u do the upgrade via emergency firmware did you do a MANDATORY reset to defaults then turn off everything (unplug the power plug) for 10 minutes or so before turning it on?

btw the new firmware seems to have fix the VobSub ! but u can meddle with the font. at least its working now hehe.

tested playing mkv with TrueHD and DTS-HD and no audio drops (24fps option can be turn on when playing TrueHD but have to turn off if the movie contains DTS-HD audio).

However still facing issue with DTS-HD over m2ts file (audio drops every few minutes sometimes second) but no prob with TrueHD in m2ts.

Yes, try using this way or try Emergency FW2.5.4. Sometimes, if your AVr has Firmware update, it may solve this problem too.

i dont think his AVR got issue..i suspect the HDMI (cabel) handshaking itself...coz i'm using same AVR like him and using XT Pro and everything works accordingly....also maybe he got faulty XT Pro? i think he did follow my advice on setting up the AVR also in the Xt Pro

thats why i ask him to play around with the cabel. make sure the words H appear if hes using HDMI in the AVR thats mean audio and video is carried by HDMI to AVR from Xt PRO.

All the cabel i'm using is HDMI from Pioneer (got free when buy AVR), LG Gold (when buy LCD) and AC Ryan (friend gimme his coz he went to buy brand monster cabel hdmi).

Some updates about coming New XtreamerDVD

Dear friends and community members,

We are just about to launch the new Xtreamer DVD device for sale.

We thought it is best we clarify some points so as to elaborate the reasons and strategy behind this device as well as to pinpoint the apparent advantages of such device in our market.

Xtreamer DVD is first of all a DVD player. It has a DVD internal from factor built in, it has the DVD size and design we all know from the many other DVD players in the market.

The difference to any other DVD in the market is that it is built around the Xtreamer media player software. Think it is an xtreamer sidewinder device in different form with a dvd built in. They both run the same firmware. It utilizes the RTL 1073 DD+ chipset. It has no internal HDD. Only external USB storage possible. It has a 10/100 LAN port and it can work wireless with our USB WIFI antenna of 802.11n

in this aspect it is probably the best dvd player in the market.

What are the differences from the many other models of DVD in the market ?

(1) It is the only DVD with native support to MKV with header compression
(2) It supports HD audio upto 7.1 for both DTS MA and TrueHD
(3) It supports many online content for streaming (Xtreamer Live and etc)
(4) It has an internal function that will allow you to backup any DVD or CD to external storage with a click of button.
(5) It has all the function of the xtreamer Sidewinder. They are too many to sum up here.
(6) Normal DVD machines made in china we all can see in our local supermarket are primitive and lack support to the many codecs we all use. None of those DVD you all see in market for 30-50 USD can be a replacement for a media streamer nor than can be comperable to the xtreamer powerful firmware and community.
(7) The Xtreamer DVD is capable of playing BluRay ISO files. No other DVD in market is capable of doing that.
(8) The Xtreamer DVD will be priced at 120 Euro. You can get an xtreamer sidewinder for 99 euro and for 20 euro more you can get the Xtreamer DVD.

Some words about the strategy behind this product.

(1) We found out that DVD are still number one seller in consumer electronic market. Much more than any media player.
(2) Prices of BluRay are way too high. Both the media as well as the players.
(3) The costs of licensing the BluRay will end up putting this machine on much higher price we intended for a mass market product.
(4) The device is not aimed to the online market. It will be marketed mainly in retail, in different department of the retail shop. Normally next to the DVD, BluRay and the TV sections. Not like a gadget.
(5) This new xtreamer DVD device applies to any member of your family that does not have the techy know how, that does not want to perform many firmware updates, that does not want to spend 200 euro for a decent BluRay Player, and still want to enjoy the HD playback and streaming world for a small money.
(6) Even decent BluRay drives cannot provide you similar experience as the xtreamer. They lack support to the many functions the xtreamer does and does well. NFS sharing, DDnS, networking browsing, Jukebox and VOD.

The result of this summary is clear.

It is not an upgrade.

It is a new model with an appeal to different segment of the market.

Again , we offer you a product which encapsulates value for money as it features high specs h.264 MKV and BluRay ISO device in a good price.

BluRay based device will come also, sooner than you think.

from factory setting, I always do upgrade by emergency firmware; unplug everything for 30 min as their guide and recommendation.
But still can't solve the hdmi problem, fw 2.5.4 is no different. thanks to soulquarianz, now i know that actually my problem is I can't select [HDMI Auto] on TV system.
I only can select hdmi auto when I'm connecting hdmi cable directly to tv, but not to avr. wink.gif
