From the pictures of the socket seems like the Digital Audio output using Digital Coaxial instead of TOSLINK...so better make sure if you wanna fix it to your amp.

TS, where did you get the price? Asking because the price in the website:

https://shop.xtreamer.net

is €99.00 only. Shipping to Malaysia add €20. So €119.00 after convert to RM it's only RM590

To some people including me, this player is better than WDTV because its capability of playing various files eg: FLAC etc.

Well...everyday there is new technology that is better and cheaper (hehe...quality..I dunno)...so we embrace it...

Those that have WDTV if you are satisfied with it...well stick to it.
Or else there is always the garage sale thread smile.gif

Me, I personally love my sarotech media player except for some minor irritants...I'll wait for it to konk out before getting another player...after all, it plays all the mkv that I download smoothly (but mkv videorate must be less than 10,000kbps).

Yeah...true...how many times have you heard, that function like networking, wifi for media player are so hard to configure ppl. actually give up?...wht abt repairing it. Yeah...they also mention 95% mkv playability...sure?...some standard mkv files from popular bd-rippers still skips (for me I always avoid ESiR), what abt those humongous 30~40gb movie files?...then comes the never ending bugs!....well, members try to wait a little longer to see how things turn up..I'm sure if on paper and real life its true, lotsa ppl. are going to buy it and there will be lotsa reviews.

Different with WDTV:

This baby support network, plus it downmix DTS to stereo & DTS pass through HDMI cable.

It's feature almost same as Egreat EG-M34A.

Only problem I face with HTPC is TrueHD or DTS-MA is not possible unless you spend USD 200 on Xonar soundcard. Still waiting for ATI or Nvidia to release video card that can bitstream TrueHD and DTS-MA.

Bro, I mean if you want to bitstream TrueHD to your AVR, you need Xonar Soundcard. ATI can only decode into LPCM in 48khz, 16bit only when outputting TrueHD so it's not pure loseless.
