Mine is Proton Savvy...How much does it cost for the steering bush?
*
It should be between 80 to 100 plus2x. I think mine was 120. Some got it cheaper than me. Don't know why the different price. But even if I paid a lot more i'm not complaining since it's worth every penny. It's paying for something like all those worthless alignment that I do regret.

I think your problem is the same with me if after doing U turn the steering takes longer to center. And most of the times it doesn't center at all. Just kept going left.

Thanks sifu notworthy.gif errm..how much would it be?
and if possible, can you suggest another 1 or 2, just in case I cannot find the 1st one at my place.

Thank you so much thumbup.gif

Hi, all Sifusss...

Need a recommendation...
What is the best tyres for Altis 1.8G 205/55/R16?
Originally using Michelin MXV8, but now discon already.

Due to budget issue, hope to get something around RM 300 - 330
that can have almost similar performance as MXV8.

Sorry my bad. Forget the name. Yup it's a tyre shop behind Mines. It's name is racing something. Or maybe not. I've totally forget it's name.
That's the first time I hear that you can test alignment using thumb. Isn't that dangerous?

My own version of good alignment is, it doesn't keep left or right when the steering is straight. That's my own version. Perhaps another indicator needs to realignment is uneven tyre wear. But I don't really know. So it's really up to you I think how you feel about your car when it drives.

Agree ..
For me , acceptable good alignment is ; 1) when the car moving it doesn't sway left / right when the steering is straight , and 2) the steering itself doesn't swing to left / right once u hand off the steering

Owh..Meaning that we need to test 2 things

1) when the car moving it doesn't sway left / right when the steering is straight (For this one we actually holding the steering to keep it straight?)
2) the steering itself doesn't swing to left / right once u hand off the steering (Yes it doesn't go left/right once let off the hand, it does after 2 or 3 seconds which might due to the road condition?)

Dear all,

i have one last question to consider before changing my tyres this saturday. I would like to make an informed decision and I have actually consulted quite a few sifus here namely michael and kcng. They provide very good feedback to aid my decision. This post should not be to taken to mean that I do not value your respective feed back.

My tyre is 195/55/15. Tempted to change to 195/50/15
It's a choice between RE001 and PS3. May I know which of the two offers better grip for cornering?

As for myself, I am very keen to try out both. If I were to get PS3 this time around, I will get RE001 the next round. biggrin.gif

Cureently having it on B class. Its not a bad tyre, good grip but kinda of noisy. Thread wear is not very good but trade off lo for the grip. Wet conditions also very good. But mine made in Poland so dunno whther the asian RE050 same same or not.

Yupp , either of these failed .. then shud go back to the workshop and complaint

theres one more . thirdly , the definitive and precise method is by measuring it with alignment machine itself

I see i see.. Owh..Thanks then my car's alignment should be ok now...

From what I observed, Tech Ming Auto service, they actually measure the front tires distance by using meter tapes after put on the alignment machine (when there is still red alert on one aside, the alignment man put the car down then measure using meter tape, test drive, then done. RM20 charged for alignment)

For the second shop I went to Sing Ming Tyres nearby Equine park,Seri Kembangan behind Esso. The alignment test drive my car, put my car on the alignment machine, do adjustment till the PC show both are 0, tires both sides are green, then he went to test drive again. Then he switch the front tyre right<->left, test drive again. Then done. Charged only RM10.

Conclusion is I feel my car is better after the second time alignment.

Anyway, for the best result I think is better to go for the shop people recommend at the best alignment sifu thread. Whereby Kin Alignment is one of them.

Balancing and alignment kinda subjective la .. better find the shop which u familiar with , thats usually fit ur driving style . Unless u know how to read the alignment machine and able to correct the one whois handling it

Just my 2 cent , Cheers

It isn't subjective...However, as long as you are comfortable with driving the car, that is ok.
