with extra load rating some more. tread looks quieter compare to the old one but not sure how it will perform compare to the old model.

I have done Alignment + Balancing + All tyres change here today at

Tek Ming Auto Service Sdn Bhd
Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia
No. 1 & 3 Jalan PJS 11/24, Bandar Sunway, 46150 Petaling Jaya,...
But after first alignment I drive the car going left..I returned to your shop and did second time same thing happened =( I am very disappointed with the service provided....
Should I go for third time tomorrow or jus change to other shop =( money wasted..I spend extra RM60 to repair the sport rim some more... other than buy 4 new tyres =( =( =(

no no... putting larger patch will make the FC poorer... means more makan minyak... use back 195/60 R15, use low rolling resistance tires which they say "Green or Eco Tires"... smile.gif

what is your ride? could be the worn out steering bush? else, swaying left on straight while hands off the steering is common for myvi thou.
free alignment at perodua sc.

huh! pace tire? made in china with very visible 'burger like' joint marks tongue.gif
i reckoned 17" should be in the region of 2xx which is damn cheap. i remember testing the tire once for drift. due to cost constraint.
bought in port dickson area. worst handling and grip. also no progressive steering feel at all. but at least it did not burst.
tire sidewall become bulging after only a session.
if you're on tight budget, i suggest you take a look at the achilles atr sport which is just marginally expensive.
no compromise on safety icon_rolleyes.gif

fyi, grip is mainly determined by tire compound / material. ie; 195 width of michelin ps3 has had a better grip compare with 205 width of
goodyear nct5 smile.gif same goes to wet driving. the wider the tire, the more it prone to aquaplaning. unless the tread is design to disperse water effectively.
wider tire may give you a slightly better handling but the improvements is negligible on thicker tire profile due sidewall flexing.
as long as your upgrade is within 3% of the original size, different in speedometer reading, braking capability, acceleration and fc is also almost negligible.
make sure to choose the right tire.

just bought 2nd hand Michelin Primacy LC from the TTH Tyre Puchong for RM130/pc including balancing with 60~70% of treads and was made in 2007. So far so good, traction is better on dry and good on wet (to me, since i'm upgrading from Maxxis and Bridgestone Sportstourer MY-01 tyres)

size: 205/55/R16

..and i just realized it's not the usual tyre size when i arrived at home. the usual one should be 205/50/R16. oh well, at least the tyres aren't that expensive compared to a new Achilles/Barum etc which sucks. next time buy Pirelli lah. haha.

any excessive freeplay on the steering? or do you always turn your steering in full till you hear the rubber sound?
if the alignment is done properly yet problem still persist, final suspect is down to the steering bush.

I see, as it was quoted by a tyre shop somewhere in Klang. At first wanted to take Ce28 with 15 or 16 inch but they say they don't have it. With the budget i have is RM2300 RIM+TYRES. Btw the RIM is 17 inch. I'm planning to stick with this tyres maybe for a year or so later on change to something else when I have the cash. I'm not using it for drift, but maybe a lil bit motorsport adrenalin but certainly not on rainy days. Or maybe i should stretch my budget to RM2500 to get something better? Any kind hearted can recommend me any decent tyres? Something that is reliable and worth getting.

Edit,
Currently looking Yokohama A drive or C drive and Hankook tyres. My car is a 1990 2.0 FF 5 Speed manual.
Any idea how much is the Achilles tyres for 17 inch atr sport?

My car did like yours. Kept to the left and I wasted hundreds of money doing alignment. Trying different shops. Each time blaming the tyre shop for not doing the alignment right. Some shop do suggest that my bush is loose. After changing the bush it just WOW!!!. Steering feel precise and tight. My wife complains it feels heavier but that's not an issue with me. It's been 6 months since I did my last alignment and don't feel like doing it anytime soon.
My honest suggestion is go and change your steering bush. I could have save hundreds of my money if I did it earlier. It's not exact science though. Changing steering bush solves my problem. It might not work for you but you can try.
