no la... i think V8rs should be better haha... but never have big problem from 595 Evo (195/55 R15) also... maybe is the width and noise insulation kua... not sure...
XM1 or even 2 does not fit you la... get PS3, RE001 if you want... if not N8000 still ok....

you change to new or used tire? rims doesn't generate noise(only vibration on bad condition rims). basically it was down to tire choice.
also, check with your mechanic if the wheel bearing is fine.
*
new cheapo china tires. damn, i ask for other tires they don't have. only china tires got 15". that shop really sucks. gonna change my tires soon. any recommended brand? just want silent tires only.

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Feb 15 2011, 11:52 PM)
mua haha... 18" don have???
what brand and model of tire are you using???
as bro yngwei said rim will not generate also noise only...
thumbup.gif
if you don mind it's noise then V8rs is the choice... if not Falken 912 is slightly better than XM1... if you able to get Yokohama C Drive also good...

the cheapo china tyes, wanli.

well all tires after 50% usage will tends to make noise lo... so really depends on individual...
some ppl change only reaching indicator while some change when they felt irritating on the noise...
*
exactly! that's why i used to change my tire once it goes below 65% or so. beside still command a good used tire price, market demand is there brows.gif

if am not mistaken, most of the tire offered by other than the big player manufacturer are of directional tread which tend to be noisy.
wanli, gt radial , accelera, achilles, thunderer, nangkang.... they share the same directional tread in common. asymmetric shape does available
but quite less.
falken ze912 is fine but it wear out faster. if you're not into spirited driving, yokohama a.drive or c.drive is fine. even the bridgestone playz is okay for leisure driving style.

just ride about 100km.... in terms of noise level i think "slightly" quieter than previous PP2 but the noise still there(feel that the noise more "solid")... and in terms of comfort, it do improve.... but for me is just minor only... cry.gif rclxub.gif
overall, not much diff.... rclxub.gif hopefully after run in will be better...

220 is KPa la... it should be around 32 PSI on that pressure... i think tat should be fine... look at your car recommended pressure and try on that one 1st...
N2 is a more stable air and it will not expand too much after hot in temperature...

N2 is nothing but dry air. They use N2 because it's the cheapest form of dry air without buying expensive scrubbers. It is the removal of water vapour in the air that stabilises the air pressure and has nothing to do with N2. Racing teams don't use N2, they use expensive scrubbers that remove the water vapour and all other contaminants since N2 does nothing to change the properties of the tyre.

Anyone can recommend the best tyre size for Honda SM4 1990- 15" rims - 195/55R15 (current size) for daily commute (plus minus bout 100KM). Thinking bout 205/65R15 ( any brand reco would be helpful as well)

Sorry but I'm bit of blur case on tyre sizing

that is over size bro... i thought original size should be 195/60 R15??? try to look for the original size then only you know how to convert...

http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

you can convert the size here... anything over 3% of the original size is not recommended...

Thanks Micheal

Looks like 205/60R15 more suitable

Will putting a larger treadwidth help in terms of improving on consumption and last me longer

no no... putting larger patch will make the FC poorer... means more makan minyak... use back 195/60 R15, use low rolling resistance tires which they say "Green or Eco Tires"... smile.gif
