UPGRADING OF TM NETWORK

Dear Valued Customers,

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to inform our customers that we are currently in the process of upgrading our network IP Contact Center (IPCC) – Single Number Access (100) to an Internet Protocol-based Next Generation Network (NGN) platform in order to facilitate the ongoing improvements to our performance and service quality. With this new network, TM will be in a position to serve your needs faster and more efficient.

Kindly also take note that there will be no changes in the service terms and pricing policy under this network upgrading exercise. The upgrading exercise will be carried out on 29 March 2011.

Shown below is the upgrading schedule:

I can't seem to connect to internet.

IPTV and phone are functioning well. Called customer service they said there is no problem in their system though they can appreciate that i am not connected to their IP server.

Their final conclusion is my router down! vmad.gif

I am at wangsa maju area. Anyone else facing similar problem?

My streamyx keep on disconnect every 5min, anyone with the same problem? Damn Streamyx @#$@#$!@#

i had the same problem but thats too long ago.. i found out it is not streamyx problem.. its either ur cable network or phone cable.. check booth.. after i change to the new cable.. theres no more disconnected..

ANNOUNCEMENT

APCN2 CABLE FAULT AFFECTS INTERNET SERVICES & GLOBAL VOICE CALLS


Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to inform our customers that TM and its consortium members have identified that the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) is currently experiencing a fault on the segment linking Kuantan, Malaysia to Lantau, Hong Kong.

Customers using Internet services nationwide may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing and high latency while accessing international websites hosted in the North Asia, US & Europe. Customers using Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to North Asia, US & Europe may also experience some level of service degradation.

The failure may also affect TM global voice circuits to Japan, US, Korea, China, Vietnam and Hong Kong. TM international direct dialling (IDD), ISDN, and international toll free services may experience some level of service degradation until the affected cable segments are repaired.

In mitigation, TM had carried out necessary traffic management to minimize the impact of the incident and ease the situation to these services.

We will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works and TM apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the disruption. We would like to assure our customers that all necessary measures are being taken to restore the services as soon as possible.

yes, i am an administrator too.

coincidentally, the same thing happens to my company too.

the ******* tmnet, real sial. it took me half an hour to find out whats wrong, while people around me bugging me telling external mail cant send out. not a fellow or two, but bout bunch of 40 peoples, really frustrating. with so many people bugging me, it reduces my competency....

i am happy, that i aint alone in this country, where most people with tak kisah attitude.

tmnet is an administrator greatest enemy!!!! sooner or later, administrator like us will have poor reputations....

too bad normal folks arent very understanding.

melaka here...friday DSL keep flashing like hell, techinician come, found out is wire in pole problem...today flash again..impossible for the wiring problem d...ugh...

Having the same issue here at Mutiara Damansara - UnifiBiz... the line went down ard 9am+ I think.. haven't called them yet...

Reporting from Puchong Jaya here - DSL light stable but cannot connect.. keep on getting Error 691 invalid username and password

Verified with tmnut that there's no session hang, account is active and not barred, username and password is correct, @streamyx but no .com is there, changed from belkin to aztech modem/router all but same issue

Checked with my friend living in the same apartment, also having exact same issue so its nothing to do with my CPE

TM helpline seems clueless as ever

Anybody else having same issue? (though I guess if you do, then you wont be able to reply this right? lucky i keep digi 3g as backup line)

Im just getting a chunk of request time out which causes disconencts every 3min or so.
