Painfully slow at the moment. I'm not sure whether restarting the modem hoping to get a server with more bandwidth will help. It does sometimes, but I fear I may get thrown into disconnect hell! So maybe I should be happy with small mercies and be grateful I have a stable connection albeit a rather slow one.

yeah , IRC and FTP slugishly slackin' slumping slumbering slow !!!!! it's been more than a week now . i noticed the throttling as sometimes the download can go at max speed , but suddenly after the next queue the download drops down to 20kb/s .... most of the time the download will stay at 20kb/s . but at least youtube and other download site is fast (like megaupload and rapidshare) . currently i got no other problem aside from IRC/FTP . Torrent is good too

is there any tools or web sites that can use to check my connection speed to a web site, eg. my speed on youtube etc??

Youtube you can view the streaming speed by right clicking the video and select Show video info.

An alternative you can use Bandwidth monitor.

1mbps package.. go figure..

Here it comes, the regular shitty connections time. If i ever enjoy more than two months of uninterrupted connections, I know I'm dreaming and about to wake up and kick the modem.

At least they got something right. Youtube. But for the others.. hell. Like last year all over again.. before October when even youtube fails but atleast normal browsing was bearable.
