hmm actually I dont even think the movie is about a boy. It's just about action and shit getting blown up for no good reason. And the transformers are simply the perpetrators.

But I had fun watching it!

I guess most of you forgot its a MICHAEL BAY movie. If you want to enjoy a Michael Bay movie, leave your brains out and just enjoy:-

1) Kick-ass action scenes
2) Kick-ass military hardware
3) Kick-ass slow-mo action scenes
and the most important of all
4) Kick-ass boobs

OK, seriously this movie is full of plot holes. Actually this year first few summer blockbuster movies plots are really full of holes. Star Trek, Terminator and now Transformers 2 plot are really really terrible. But as a popcorn blockbuster movie, they do work.

Hey, even the best blockbuster movies are full of holes and have horrible dialogues. Remember the original Star Wars trilogy. I am not even talking about the prequels.

Actually, my ratings scale goes to 4 stars max.

Plot holes is one thing. Properly fleshed out characters are another.

Don't bundle good popcorn movies with bad. Transformers 2 fails miserably as a popcorn movie. Just because its a popcorn movie doesnt mean its automatically good since u can 'leave ur brain at the door'. Star Trek was great popcorn, Terminator: Salvation was awful, and Transformers: ROTF is abysmal stuff enjoying only the company of Batman and Robin.

I gave a 2.5/5 and I don't completely hate it. For what it's worth, I still consider it an entertaining movie. Low expectations really help

I think Bay made a mess with TF2. There were so many things going on that doesn't even made sense. I read from my friend that the Pentagon is in Virginia and not in DC as filmed, and the whole geographical issue of Egypt, Jordan, etc. He obviously incorporated what he thought was more "fun" to the movie with the expense of the robot's characterization. I still can't get over the fact that they could speak in accents, hump, and joke? I think the robots just didn't had enough time to develop the "characters" but if you'd cared for Bumblebee and Prime, it's obviously because they had characters, even at the minimal.

they really should change the director...make micheal bay co-director specifically for explosions only...

But in 10 years time, they'll be seen exactly the same way Armageddon and Pearl Harbor are seen now.

If you watch the first one and compare it with the second, the first would win hands down in terms of story plot and the whole 2 hours worth of noise. Revenge Of The Fallen is way too noisy and messy plots, at least for me. I'm glad I own the first movie on DVD because that's way better than second one.

Those were decent Bay flicks which I enjoyed.
