thats because the robots only appear when they do battle with one another. You cant expect much characterization from Random Transformer no. 14 when he is getting his butt kicked by Random Transformer no. 42.

hmm actually I dont even think the movie is about a boy. It's just about action and shit getting blown up for no good reason. And the transformers are simply the perpetrators.

The BO performance has no correlation with a movie's quality.

Plus you can certainly see the number of haters has grown compared to the first movie.

Also, stop shoving Tranformers factoids down our throats and say "stop complaining if you didnt understand the movie". Regardless of whether I understand the mythology correctly, the movie is bad. The little "facts" about the Transformers are trivial, the problems of the movie lie elsewhere... or like everywhere else.

All he's saying is the movies are standalone. Reading up the comics or watching the cartoons aint supposed to be prerequisites to enjoy this dumb action movie. And I agree 100%.

Damn! I didnt know I had to wait to see how bad TF3 is before I can say how bad TF2 was!

Anyway going by how things are in the first two movies, this will be the first trilogy to feature fully interchangeable plots in all 3 movies.

Btw seeing the box office numbers, I dont think it will end just at 'trilogy'. Ka-ching!

Haha, dont worry lah. I'm not trying to get you to agree with me, just having a bit of fun. This movie is fun to debate because

a) it really divides the audiences... you either love it or hate it (or in certain cases you kinda like it but love bashing it anyway... )
b) there are loads of people constantly debating it

Okay so I read that article, and the guy was being nitpicky, though he did have a few good points. ROBOT HEAVEN AND BACK?! That is shit deus ex machina writing right there.

But some of the replies from the Shoot For The Edit guy were even more douchbaggery.

By that point I pretty much thought nothing would annoy me. But that robot heaven just takes the cake. Somehow he goes into ROBOT heaven, and somehow the dead Primes can send his ass back to earth.

With odds like that, its no wonder the decepticons have no chance against the autobots.

Also Sam simply had to die in the movie so that the Primes in heaven can tell him "oh you've been very noble running around, so we are giving you the matrix. Now get the hell back down there and save optimus".

Very convenient.
