Problem: Last year, even medium or poor seeding still can reach 10-80kpbs++. This year going worst!!! Even strong seeding sometimes wont move at all, move also never reach 20kbps!!!

So damn slowww today!

i have no idea did streamyx trottled H*lite or slow massive slow down, my download speed is alright i can get 100kb/s from rapidshare etc, but i coudnt upload more than 10kb/s..

After enjoying 2 days of GODLIKE speed, now I'm suffering again

only some certain area their core upgrading is effected with normal good speed and also depend which ip range you are in.

bascially still have some of the core upgrading is not done on some places yet...

China sites are always slow.
No matter what. Maybe we have not that many cables linking to China.

Use VPN. That's the only choice.

since last year till now... tmnet experience slowdown on china site yet not fixed for normal user like us.


but for cooperate or business package/4mb premium account they have a good access to china site.

i just wondering what happen on it...

Since the upgrade that should had been concluded by 20th June 2009 6am according to their announcement, I had been suffering from frequent drop packets.

- Trying to sync a database for the past 3 days to a server in US without success as the connection always drop halfway due to packet losses.
- Playing Runes of Magic on US server causes my character to die multiple lag of death.
- Pinging google.com shows at packet losses from 20%-60% at any time.

By using WinMTR to trace and ping each packet path over 200 times, we get a clear conclusion that packet losses are directly the result of Streamyx and not others.

1-3% loss in this test is usually normal and acceptable but anything over 3% shows where the problem lies.

We can see from the graph above that it starts from 203.106.4.41 and worsen as it gets to 210.187.129.131. Both are TM's IPs. Still minor issue here.

But when it gets to 219.94.9.10 (still is TM's IP) we see the packet loss becomes 59%. This is the road bump that TM Net should be fixing immediately.

If there are anybody from TM that are reading this, please, fix the problem. I had done some of your work for you so please do yours now so that we can all have our Broadband back. Thank you.

the only thing that will probably work is call TM.

I'm from Cyberjaya, and I can't even play any Team Fortress 2 servers in Singapore without my ping spiking upto 500MS+ every 30 seconds. By the time it goes down, its already going back up. Funny thing is I can see the game being played around me, but I can not move.

I am on the 1Mbps connection. I am on the 60.53.x.x IP range, and TM sucks. That is all I can say.

Reporting from Shah Alam, using 1MB line. After the previous submarine cable issue, my connection sucks and never recover after that. I have to give up playing WoW as I could not get latency less than 1000ms. Now I just spend more time at TV rather then Internet. Surfing international websites are very frustrating. Good IP range for me is the one starting from 60.x.x.x but I have to like reconnect like 1 hour to get it.

I am just waiting for my 2 years contract to end and straight away terminate my Screamyx along with my land line. Paying like RM 100+ for house phone and Screamyx and I didnt even use Internet more than 1 hour a day.

Could we like submit a petition to MCMC and let them force TMnuts to do something about their sucky service?

If everyone here sign the petition, we have lots of signatures.
