of cos i understand that if the phone spoil itself, then u fix for me lor.
not i hantam hantam sepak the phone like a dog, then ask u to fix for free mah.

but like our friend earlier, is camera problem.
i'm not sure how his spoil in the first place, but if really the camera die by itself, u must fix properly for me, right?
why he service until like this?

mind share which SC u went to ? TELxxx or Comxxx ?? i visit to telstra and claim my n82 before.. for the camera problem also.. they solved it within 1 day for me...
i still remember about 11pm.. i leave the phone there.. around 4pm.. they called me and told me the phone was done... i didn't found any scratches caused by them.. or maybe my n82 protected by IS ? haha.. biggrin.gif


just sharing my little experience with TELSTRA..

anyone else with this problem? my phone's LCD was good till i brought my set to be repaired by PACIFIC. ever since then i can't really see proper colors anymore and if want to view the phone nicely, i've got to view it at an angle. suspecting that they swiped my good LCD for something else. this is so darn frustrating having to use this phone this way. i really do hate PACIFIC service center @ low yat right now. it's downright unethical to do such a thing and to damage so badly my new phone.

well..as for my n82....its AP (aspen)unit and worst nightmare is the LCD crack by itself on the 2nd day of ownership...sent back to the shop.....agree to replace one and until now 1year and 5month of owning it...no problem despite i drop quite numberous of times while sleeping and also it perform as good as new and the phone looks like 90% new.... laugh.gif

I've dropped my n82 a few times jor. It still works ok but the bottom part of my phone developed a sorta funny sound (like plastic rubbing on plastic) whenever I use the bottom 3 buttons of the keypad. From outside the seams & joints "look" ok but I think one of the hidden shell clips inside must have become crooked or something after the drop but I tried press press the keypad & bottom part but the sound still there until now. Its still working ok so I didn't send it to Nokia Centre or handphone shop yet. Scare afterward small problem develop into big problem after sending it in.

I am usually a lurker in this thread and I see how a lot of discussions are concerning problems with the phone. Although N82 is out of production, all these talk about phone troubles can still prove to be nerve wrecking for potential new owners eh? :-)

So here's my input:
Owner since: May 2008
Phone type: AP, black
Firmware version: v20
Phone condition: stock, never tinkered (a.k.a. hxxk)
Main use: wifi, camera
Battery life: about 4 days, with heavy wifi use it's about 2 days (ori battery since bought)
Memory card: the 2GB stock that came with phone
Drops: 2 times onto wooden floor
Problems: some hot pixel present since bought, besides that no problem whatsoever.
Shop info: bought from a trusted shop (family friend)
Phone care: always kept in padded cloth phone pouch, phone is always resting on pouch rather than directly on surfaces. Hence scratchless (I know I baby the phone very much). I also use a second basic phone for rough outdoor conditions instead of taking n82.

My point is, behind the horror stories that usually gets the limelight, there are also owners like me that are happy with their perfectly functioning phones. To be honest, if I didn't own this phone, I'd be scared to buy it after reading about all the phone problems :-p
