QUOTE(lilster @ Jun 10 2010, 12:42 AM) still it should be my choice since i am paying for it. they cannot just change it like that. it's still your choice, you pay if you use. They can just change it and they did. The best solution is to jb and use sbsettings. Added on June 10, 2010, 9:48 amQUOTE(ddeee @ Jun 10 2010, 08:04 AM) So that's mean those iPhone which couldn't activate cellular network before and all of them activated now? Or just me facing this problem? yup, all Digi users will be affected, it happens to Maxis users before. This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Jun 10 2010, 09:50 AM

use BossPrefs if you have JBed the iPhone

QUOTE(yuvanesh @ Jun 14 2010, 02:01 AM) try calling up maxis and cancel all the data connection.. this is the best way. I did this last month, but sometimes I dont know how, the data just works by itself

hi everyones. i just got my first data charges burned my pocket just now. my situation is like this. today morning suddenly my digi postpaid account achieved credit limit rm280 from data charge. omg i dont even set up my apn gprs setting at my iphone 3gs. how come they charge for it ? when im waiting the customer service at digi center. i met a guy, he is also iphone user. he told me that eventhough u dont set up the apn settings, suft net only use wifi WITHOUT turning off the "DATA" in sbsettings. they still will charge u. everytime after iphone reboot will turn on the "DATA". and he told me that get the " AUTO OFF DATA TOGGLE" from cydia. however i dont manage to get This. did u guys using it ? thanks.

If you're a student and CAN afford an iPhone then why cant you not afford to get a data plan attached together? i know its your cash and its totally up to you on how to use it.. but why did u get the iPhone if you dont intend to use it on the go and be constantly connected? following the masses perhaps? if you wanted to use a phone to surf the net without the need to be connected online on the go easily you could have gone for a HTC or Nokia rite? trade your iPhone for an Ipod touch and get a HTC or someother phone with Wifi to surf at home..there you go no more high data usages charges... and as for your question dont think you can get you answer here...post it here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1341337/+1580

Digi have upgraded their Carrier version. You don't have to do anything, it'll auto configure to connect to the net by the carrier. It's a 'smart' phone anyway.
