QUOTE(prasath_5338 @ Apr 6 2010, 12:10 PM) Since i upgraded to version 3.1.2 i have been paying like +/- RM 100 per month for my data usage ALTHOUGH i didn't use it! you have to toggle off DATA at BossPrefs. All my 3G and EDGE setting are also set off using BossPrefs. haiz.... and yeah, aGPS uses the help of data line initially to fix your location, but it doesn't necessarily have to. I've successfully used my gps with NO data countless numbers of times to get to places and it works just fine. Its just that it might take a while to get a satellite fix on your location if its cloudy..etc. |

Check under more options, it might not be there by default but you might be abble to add it.
Btw why are you using bossprefs? that app is no longer maintained and its even stated in the disclaimer that you should be using SBSettings. |

QUOTE(ndri11 @ Apr 7 2010, 02:31 PM) guys, im using digi prepaid for my iphone here. Is your iphone updated to new carrier settings? If it is not, you can go to your settings>general>network>cellular data network.its been irritating me, because every time i top up my credit it become lesser so much. lets say when i top up my balance is rm10, in 5 mnts i check again suddenly my balance become rm 5. i don't jailbreak my iphone, so maybe the application connecting to the internet automatically. what should i do here? thanks There, replace all the info for your current APN settings to meaningless inputs. "blablabla..ex.xsadsadewrasd?Q@#?"(username/pass..etc) This will make the data connection fail, but if you do it this way you might need to redo this each time you restart your phone. |

QUOTE(jingyong @ Apr 9 2010, 07:22 PM) I used SBSettings to close 3G, EDGE, Data, and also used iphonenodata.com to close all connections, still there is some leakage.. i have no idea now.. why cant just stop everything? yeah, sometimes even when DATA is toggled off, it actually isn't.(especially after soft reboot/reboots).one thing you can do is get the SBSettings toggle called Fake APN as well. extra guard your data blocking. |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « lol thats not how you do it.. what you have is just fake APN on while data is still running.(look at your data ip, it should be empty if data block is on) you need to set the 3g, edge and data toggles on first so the buttons appear in SBSettings. Then IN SBSettings, switch 3g, 3dge and data OFF while Fake APN on. |

QUOTE(Shufflerz @ Apr 18 2010, 01:11 PM) But my data isn't running now. your data isnt running because you have fake APN on. data toggle is a different thing, which is still left off but since fake APN is on, it does the job.I assumed that by off-ing those in Toggles mean it off everything already since my data isn't moving at all. for extra protection, you should enable both toggles; then on fake APN and off Data This post has been edited by tineagle: Apr 18 2010, 07:14 PM |

QUOTE(keanzteoh @ Apr 19 2010, 04:39 PM) for the prepaid plan, as long as your line has validity for that month, you will get free 500mb data every month for the subsequent year upon purchasing the iphone.this is how i'm using internet on my iphone currently, only thing is i have to switch sim cards each time i wish to do so as my main line is a normal postpaid package. |

QUOTE(MR.Shiney @ Apr 22 2010, 03:48 AM) FYI, I had the problem data leakage problem but it was solved after I installed Bossprefs. Recently I've been experiencing credit leakage again even though I'm always on wifi and turned off my EDGE. again and again im stressing, you cannot turn of EDGE. even if u use SBsettings or bossprefs to off it, you will notice the 'E' symbol still there from time to time.Maxis has finally swallowed my RM35 T_T also, even if u turn it off, your phone is going to use GPRS to get the data. what you need to do is turn of DATA.(there is a toggle by this name) |
