hey... i need advice...i did not subscribe any data plan for my iphone. I already switch off my edge..but i dunno why it accidentally turn on..when I realize it it's already used for 7mb...

but when I received my phone bill, maxis charge me 17mb = RM 170. How can this happen??????? my data sent total data sent and received showed from my phone is only 14mb in total.

I called the maxis and they tell me that my phone usage is not accurate and their record is more accurate.. that is bullshit and simply charge me...  

Anyone noe how can i void the stupid bill??? I noe the customer service can do NOTHING but just do checking..

I was planning to get iPhone for my wife's birthday next month. She's on prepaid and use internet only for normal surfing and push mail, which I think using wifi is enough already. I was wondering which is better, either change prepaid plan to postpaid and buy iPhone from Maxis or just buy iPhone at phone shops?

The price different is very obvious, but I did not know if there's issues with iPhone that sells at phone shop?

the app runs at the background using the net - taht is one good reason why i should get it together with data plan. it is just the price if we bought from maxis is too high compared to shop, that is why i am choosing between those two..

That is why.. maxis price high like hell man, but they provide original warranty.. 

actually if buy from shop..u wont get warranty...my friend that sell handphone tell me..the price for jailbrake rm 2400 iphone 3gs 16 gb but official iphone 3gs 16 gb is rm 2700...maybe you got malaysia set or singapore set...its MC131ZA

Lets say I am using digi, but without the data plan. How do I remove the 3G/Edge connection if I can't find the data connection setting. When digi activate the phone, they will auto configure and hide the settings.

I am on prepaid. I am afraid the network would suck my credits dry :S
Also, one more question except for the network , why would someone want to JB their iPhone 3GS?

But I need the data sometimes, when I am away at campus or something.

Since I am here, I am not sure if this is off topic but just wanna let everyone know my situation.

Currently my iPhone is not able to set Call Forwarding feature, after key in the number, the error message "Could not save call forwarding setting" come out. My SIM is able to set call divert on Nokia though. Done reset n restore n on n off my iPhone, no change. Please let me know (PM if can) if there is a solution for this.

Anyway the main point is here, I decided to call up Maxis Helplinne for the setting/configuration/activation on this.

Me: Hi, I would like to activate and set call forwarding on my iPhone but not able to do so (and so on)

Maxis: YOu are not able to set call forwarding in iPhone (my fren able to do so), and I am not sure how to set it.

Me: Is there any alternative on this?

Maxis: Sorry sir, I am not sure, however you may try Google it for a solution.

Got story to share..I am iValue 1 maxis user..my bill date was on 24th every month..this is what happen..I check my bills on 23th night via *100#

23/4 : RM63.++ (forgot to save the image demmm~  )
24/4 : RM 249.++  

my credit limit is rm150!!

my data usage in iphone showed only 249mb received + sent 
I didn't JB my phone and I dont think the data counter should be in so much difference..
I was on Wi-Fi on my working days..ony night use it for FB and surf..

Called maxis CS and she said cannot view my bills yet because today is weekend.can only view it this monday..OMG..
have to wait this monday and see how is it going.. 

switch to digi..it's a smarter choice with unlimited data usage
i think coverage is not d prob...cs when i leave the building..it back to 3G again ... so the main concern is how to get strong signal even inside a building

I used to maxis already..and I'm on 12 month contract for the iPhone..so I think I have to bear with it until the contract finish..
Its was my unbilled credit..but the thing here..I got 2 sms from maxis one saying my bill is RM 249 and another one come after that saying that it was RM 200..haha..I think this Monday gonna argue with them..

I believe from what I read from this forum that the data usage counter shudnt be in so much different with maxis counter since I didnt JB my phone..I am using wi-fi 5 days a week and I hardly YouTube-ing..maxis always try to suck up other people money..

btw..I'm a girl
