With the rapidly increasing auditions that I had, I have the chance to listen to a lot more setups . The findings; Interesting, fascinating, mind-boggling, downright insane, etc. It's a mad mad world of HT.

Now, I want to audition the Submersive as this is the new benchmark (apart from Sub 25) . Hopefully can do so in Feb as Jan is a busy month. I am very confident that it could be the best of the crop (no E..D. please). Probably will go and audition the Sub25 on one of this weekdays, which I think should be an outstanding sub. Just wanted to know how far it outperform the F113.

PSB synchrony one
How was it?

I'm worried about insects/household lizards getting inside the bass port. Any solutions?

Which shop has the Sub 25 for audition? If I happen to be in KL same time as you, then maybe we can go together to listen.

Get a can of Transformers 2 or Terminator Salvation and sonic hammer them into submission. Works better than any Ridsect or Shelltox

With bluray I think it is possible to equal or even exceed the cinema experience if you have sufficient budget. With good equipment, good room and good setup it's possible.



Looks like your HT room will shape up nicely. The PSB Synchrony is a very nice speaker. It definitely deserves a power amp to drive it well. I agree that a pre/pro and power combo is the way to go for you.

Went to Amcorp Mall on last Saturday.
They demoing the PSB Synchrony with Densen Audio mono.
The sound was so sweet and detail.
And their bass is very strong for a floorstander size like this.
But for HT setup,what do you think bro?

I have listened to PSB Synchrony One briefly before... can't say I've tested it. Good bass, clear mids and treble. Yes I think it would also be suitable for HT use.

bro, i have also not tested both DD12 and F113 and certain not a pro too.. but there was a respected sub guru called craigsub from tweakcity who tested almost all the best subs available at that time, he had placed DD18 on top of his list until F113 was launched and took the top spot. Afterthat many more new subs overtook DD18 too.

i know craigsub's opinion should only be used as a guideline but DD12 is clearly not in the same league. Maybe u should try DD18 if u want a fair comparison. F113 is the only 'small' size sub that could hang around with the big boys

And on JL F113, other alternative would be EPIK sub direct from US with you huge budget on sub...

Seriously, if I have a lot of moolah, I would definitely want to try out SF for movie setup. Palladium would the next step up given money no object. All to be driven by 2 channels power amps.

I went there 3times including last Saturday but still never open.
So ended up at A&L listening to PSB Synchrony One.
Really a very awesome speaker.
A floorstander speaker below 5k USD can achieve a soundstage like this is really unbelievable.
Or maybe their source is good too.
And boss you tested the Synchrony One recently also?
If for music,try to buy a Chinese Audiophile cd name Paramita.
During AV Show 2009,Perfect Hifi use this cd as their demo cd pair with Wilson Audio Sasha,Dcs Scarlatti and Pass lab mono.
Can buy a BMW with this set up.
And this cd(Paramita)song number 7 is really a suitable music to test speaker bass.

Same as you dont have to be a Datuk to buy a condominium or a BMW.

Krell FBI is actually the top level integrated amp and not a power amp.
Still, it is not as expensive as a condominium.
If you talk about a power amp which can buy you a condominium, I guess that has to be the Krell MRA monoblocks.

Just to share.....

Paradigm Signature is better and the price is slightly more than Sync 1.
NO NO to DD12 or DD15 if I had the budget like yours. F113 is the way to go.
