Adele, I like how it looks, just hate the quality. My chipboard very fragile that I think i'll have to find somewhere else to put my heavy pots. Hmm maybe order a pull out larder cabinet from ikea and put inside storeroom.. We copy this design from a set we saw at ab kitchen. smile.gif

As for kitch top, they didn't come back anymore. I'll just be careful, not to put much weight on it and also hope the silicone adhesive stays.

Darn it...!!

The rest of the installers were careful, the things didn't get scratched. Only one, who installed two of the items...the items are scratched. Pretty sure it's his fault and not Ikeas...

I think I might reject the billy bookcase since its quite easy to install on own self..
The wardrobe is half way done sad.gif

Say no and ask them for replacement on the spot. If not, later they ask u to uninstall and take back to exchange urself.

Also take pic of the scratches.

I just got my kitchen cabinet installed by UNITY kitchen @ 7/12. Very good service and high level of professionalism from them. took their time to install and adjust properly, levelled by laser beam. Thumbs up to them. Very well served from the beginning till the end. I'm pleased with the outcome

anyway i insisted to change, and the installer keep saying cannot change. then on the spot i called ikea, they say can and will send somebody with the spoilt pieces again. So for ppl who wanna install..please insist if don't want.

my MALM drawer and part of the wardrobe already installed, and i didnt ask ikea to change, coz the wardrobe already drill to the wall..not sure how to change..

speechless when I saw a big gap (1inch) gap between tabletop and the wood at one of the side...
according to the KC folk it was due to the table top level is out, hence causing the gaps...but he will try to figure a way to cover it either through sealer or ...sad.gif

Before move to my current house, I was also ikea wardrobe user. I can say their stuff are practical and the glass sliding door really good, I feel is much better than my current house sliding wardrobe.

Do any contractor offer pastel color or lighter color cabinets? Sample please? I would love to have white or beige kitchen, but at the same time I'm looking for something different as well. Pastel color themed like light pink, light blue, lavender and mint. xD Yes I know it sounds like kindergarden lol.

Also cabinets that is scratch-proof(?) because I'm having 5 cat monster...

+1, good you can educate your clients about good basic design of kitchen  thumbup.gif
*
Haha, thanks! Just sharing the basic design and some tips for some friends here~ biggrin.gif

Like the photo below show a simple L- shape kitchen cabinet:
Firstly we will located the place of sink, make sure the place we locate the sink has good air flow to reduce moisture problem. That's why normally we choose to place the sink in front of the window.

After you choose the place for sink then you can decide where to put your stove. Stove not suitable put too close with sink, not good for Feng Sui. I also think not good to put too close coz you always need some space as working table while you cooking. If your kitchen is big enough, just put at least few steps away.
If your kitchen very small, at least put at L-shape like the photo below. Some always ask me about Feng Sui, maybe I can share some info here. (believe it or not up to user la, brows.gif )
Stove don't face to door, either toilet or back door or window.
Do not place your stove right under a beam.
Stove don't face to sink, fridge.

Now you decide the place for fridge, it look much more easy since you already place the sink and stove. Just refer to the triangle concept and you will get the location for fridge. icon_rolleyes.gif

By the way, I also have a customer who has to put the sink beside the stove so that the Feng Sui master teach her make a step within sink and stove.
Don't so worry about the Feng Sui, they always have other method to solve the problem for you. For those who don't believe in Feng Sui just ignore this onfo ya. smile.gif

That's system for 1 flip up door around rm2-3k. For 2nd door add additional few hundered. I not really remember the exact price coz so far I don't have any customer order from me. Since we are not doing high end cabinet so we always advice on practical and economy way for our customers. smile.gif

Jo da 48, my kitchen cabinet also like that. Got a gap between my cabinets and very very big gap at the drawer area. And unevenness all over the table top. They used the white sealer or something put a lot a lot cover it. Actually it looks ok to me far away la..

I was just happy that the doors are aligned..hehe
