My Aluminum door was also have some gab, the kitchen top one side was 1" less. So I break it, ask my contractor do redo the plaster again. Cause is concrete so is easier.

Tiles should not have this problem because it will be align by the tiler.

Jo da 48, my kitchen cabinet also like that. Got a gap between my cabinets and very very big gap at the drawer area. And unevenness all over the table top. They used the white sealer or something put a lot a lot cover it. Actually it looks ok to me far away la..

I was just happy that the doors are aligned..hehe

THis is what they done today...maybe because I complained to their boss yesterday night smile.gif

If my table top are granite, do I need place it on top of a concrete top or just on top of the wooden top?

I ask for quotation from 2 different vendor and both give different answer. One say I need a concrete as the granite is heavy and the other say I can't have concrete as it will be be level with the granite top.

I personally prefer concrete as I is stronger than just putting it on top of a wooden top. More expensive I know.

Just wonder how you guys do it?

Added on January 8, 2012, 10:21 amHow much does a membrane press cost compared to a melamine door ?

I was quoted for about 2k difference. My KC is U shaped with overall length is abt 21 feet (3+15+3). Only base cabinet and no wall cabinet.

Is is this 2k difference right?

Also attached again the triangle for your kitchen design, for most of the designer they will based on this concept to design the kitchen cabinet for you.

Nice triangle design. rclxms.gif

For me, i prefer to do preparation work like cutting and etc on a island table, coz usually prep work takes 3/4 of the entire cooking time while cooking usually need about 1/4 of the time.

If doing prep work facing a wall then feel very boring, but if do on a island table then feel like more space in front... just my preferences.

The price for custom made cabinet always depend on measurement, design, material, accessories, and etc...
You can't really get a exact measurement unless you got a quotation from us after our discussion and site measurement.
Maybw I can show few photos here and provide the reference price for you.  smile.gif

Yup. Not a problem. Just plan the space properly before installing granite top.

Shit, that's really bad. Should not accept. How can they install in that manner and install onto your cornice and right smack where the fan is? That's really unprofessional of them.

Yah...that the reason I prepare this message to stick at the door
"Caution!!! OFF FAN before open this door
注意危险!关风扇后, 才打开这个门"

and asking the installer to get a small key lock for this sad.gif

I saw the top section have its own door, that should not be much problem because you seldom use that. Did you ask them if they have sliding for top?
