I thought dark color solid surface will have more obvious scratches?I like grey color.. just worried the lines will be very visible. |

QUOTE(weikee @ Oct 5 2011, 11:31 PM) Means grey is still ok then...One more thing, is it better to have oven install below the hobs or at a tall cabinet? If under the hobs, can we use both the hobs and oven at the same time? This post has been edited by lowlowc: Oct 6 2011, 09:48 AM |

QUOTE(lowlowc @ Oct 6 2011, 09:44 AM) Means grey is still ok then... I put my oven at a tall cabinet at about waist height. Reason:One more thing, is it better to have oven install below the hobs or at a tall cabinet? If under the hobs, can we use both the hobs and oven at the same time? 1) I don't need to bend all the time. 2) If you have children at home..they can easily open it while it's operating (unless yours have childlock) and also may hurt them when they touch it. However, my main reason was no 1. My MIL's oven was at the bottom..she complained that she has to bend all the time to check and if she takes out the heavy dish..it's difficult. |

Oven location is personal preference. No right or wrong. For my case, most likely i will not put oven in the cabinet, just external oven.

I have two very active nieces and they like to come to my house.1) I don't need to bend all the time. 2) If you have children at home..they can easily open it while it's operating (unless yours have childlock) and also may hurt them when they touch it. I'm the type who like to keep hide things in drawers, cabinet etc so my place looks tidy eventhough inside it's like tornado So I guess, under hobs or in tall cabinet, there won't be any functioning issue? |

in my kitchen, below my hob is the cabinet where i put all my pots and pans.
At the tall cabinet...the middle part (waist height) is the oven. Below the oven are the drawers. Above the oven is another cabinet where i hide my baking utensils. |

QUOTE(wrb7878 @ Oct 3 2011, 10:09 PM) from your album lo....haha...but my mosaic will like your showroom 1...have gold mark. Normally the distance between table top to bottom of wall cabinet is 27 inch. We always design 33 inch height if you measure from floor to table top. So if your wall tiles is 60 inch height from the floor, then 60 inch - 33 inch = 27 inch. I have quotation from you since last year OCT, and then get my condo key on MAY and your designer come on July. until now my house still not complete renovation yet. but next round after the floor tiles is done, patrick will come. Added on October 3, 2011, 10:14 pmEnry, need to ask you the mosaic location. i ask the contractor to lay from top position at 60" downward 2 feet height. cos i assume the GAP between top and bottom cabinet is around 2 feet? then will it have the problem for bottom cabinet, if my mosaic lay until 36" from floor. as i assume the soild surface will install at 34" then another 2" cover by backslash? i believe u able to make the backslash more than 2" incase cannot cover until the mosaic? Some customers will have higher wall tiles like 63 inch+. That's means the distance between table top to bottom of wall cabinet will be bigger. If you plan to put on the mosiac, you have to put more than 27 inch, because 24 inch as a distance between base cabinet and wall cabinet actually a bit small..So normally I will place 30 inch/ 2.5ft. You also can place behind the hood too. But better ask patric to mark for your contracktor. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Added on October 12, 2011, 11:19 am QUOTE(aXin @ Oct 3 2011, 10:55 PM) Erny, thanks for the reply. You can get in any tiles shop. Last time I bought in Super Ceramic tiles shop in Jln Reko. You have any idea i can get those nice mosaic as per photo? Waiting for Eric to quote me for the others... Also, do u mind to explain the differences between wood grained and melamine board? What are the pro and cons, also what are the cost like for both? TQ Melamine board also have wood grain or solid colour. Maybe you can look into this website and check. http://www.mieco.com.my/p_dmfc_pf.htm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Erny_Looi: Oct 12 2011, 11:19 AM |
