yupp ur case is little funny lousy sales person not professional at all, he was very desperate for the money ? any amount will do? he scare u dun have money to pay so ask for any amount so that as long as cash ....... Quotations is always FREE (if they provide u the floor plan) how can they charge u for a piece of paper with some typing efforts???

So sorry for all the forumer that had already send me email but havent reply, there must be 2 reason for that, 1 is i had over look your email, 2 is i still trying my best to reply. Since i been working on all the quote, drawing and site inspection from 8am to 3am everyday, but still try to work out all the work.

but recently here got all the interesting reply, so is taking sometime to read till update, just wish all of you get suitable person to make your house to be what you dreaming for.

My colleague got her deal in balakong area, I donno how she got her deal but they proceed the work very very fast! 9 am already waiting at her house on the installaton day and finished within that day. But her project is smaller and simpler.

For my case, I'm concerned because i'll be paying 10% without getting a single thing that can safeguard myself. I read a post in anither topic here, a forummer kena after paying more than 1 k booking fees, kc raised their price significantly. I think i'll stick to no paying before getting measurement, final quotation and 3d. At most i'll pay rm50 considering they travel to my house to measure. 50% before getting a single piece of wood install in my house, do they really need that much? I know placing rm50 from start till end is not good lah, but say if I gave rm500 when confirming?

I think the cost should be around 4~6k for the whole thing, back penal should be Spray paint glass (for black area), laminate or spray paint MDF board (for white area)

If u still prefer the same effect, which glossy finish, you can choose to use laminate, but the reflection of laminate will a bit waving compare to glass. unless u feel ok with it. if not, using melamine there will no glossy but nice or not is only the question how you going to match and what is the feeling you want only. But for me, i seldom use melamine to do this kind of penal.

I paid RM200 as deposit..and then paid some when they installed the kc...and the balance after they installed my table top.

yeah u have ur every right to not paying money before measurement, since the markets got a lots of type of player ...... some may insists u to pay, some may even no need to pay until u satisfy with what u take. 40-50% is really the standard in the market for downpayment.... if ur total costs of goods is 1.5k i think 500 shud be not a problem for them to accept but if the amount was up to 10k would u think 500 will be enough for them to proceed the fabrication work? or put it this way if u're the boss and u're selling KC would u accept an order of 10k with 500 deposits? i bet u will said NO NO NO cause once u said u dunwan the KC already so the BOSS can sell the KC to others consumers? NO NO again coz this is customs made for u, it might not suite the size and the taste of the consumer!!! Of course dun simply place 40% deposit to whoever said they are doing KC, u need to survey their reputation mah. it's ur money, u made the choice.........

Melamine not good... especially for KC. heard complain by so many of my frens b4. melamine is actually chipboard..

I do agree that most of company out there like to cheat us by lots diff kind of materials.
melamine, chipboard, compressed wood... they're all same....

all these is based on trust..
the best way for me is.. u have to know what u want 1st. nowdays internet, email, phone is so convenient. why don give a call to 3-4 company 1st, let them explain to you. then tell them wht u want. roughly get price from them.
or u can simply draft a simple measurement send to them. let them know wht material u want to use.
basicly, if u find u r hard to trust anyone. do some research lo.. so easy to get info online.
as i know. there are 2 diff type of wood.

1) melamine = chipboard = compressed wood (heavier, as its compressed, and have gum inside) suitable to do wardrobe, study table. as its both side lamite with formeka.

2) Block Board = Solid Wood (Lighter, made from real solid wood, 1 side white colour, and another sides is ur choice u Formeka laminate.

solid wood- RM 160/ftr
melamine- RM 130/ftr
(base unit and top unit are same price) except u already have concrete table.

If u have concrete table
solid wood- RM110/ftr include doors & drawers
melamine- RM 80/ftr include doors & drawers.

3G (added glass on formeka come with aluminium frame) for 20ft cabinets. usually need to + RM700-RM800

I just make up my mind chosen everskill design.today I went to their factory which gain me confidence of their work.the factory is big and around 30 workers.Steve explain how their production workflow.it seems sytemstic.he also explain to me their auto machine which can produce more and quality cabinets compare to manual labour.so in just a week,they can complete the order.I found Steve really helpful with not only give me a lots of suggestion and how's cabinet is make.thanks for ur patience.Steve,keep up ur good work

YES, Seriously. If You're from seremban. out of seremban. i think they'll charge for transport if u only do a KC.
actually Seremban price is much cheaper. If you do alot of works. it will be worth.
but, anything u can nego with tht person lah.
