since u cant repair under maxis, why dont u try from local shops or maybe to our lowyat's iphone technicial cxcr for a check?

either that or u can call the ur seller and ask him to fix the problem...
*
yah. if i cant claim the warranty, then find cxcr was my last solution. but i hope, i can get claim warranty from mxs. since i dun know how much it will cost. yawn.gif

Hmm, if you have the Service Card, it shouldn't be a problem. Can anyone confirm this?

edit: Perhaps you might wanna try other Maxis branches?

Yeah. By logic, it should be no problem. If it is a problem, then no point of buying from ppl thru forum who can't claim the warranty for you if anything happen. Maxis guy said, i need the owner authorization 1st before proceed. hmm.gif

Anyone know which Maxis branches which can easily claim the warranty cuz i hv the warranty card?

Whatever your reason is, if you want a warranty then do it quickly. Just did mine early this month, I went back for enquiry after 2 weeks as told, for I did not receive any feedbacks.

And so they're showing me a bunch of iphones from august and september warranties. They're clearing the phones, I was told. They didn't call up customers to pick up the phones. You gotta looooveee the attitude...

So I'm forced to wait for another 2-4 weeks? Don't you just love 1Malysia spirit? I don't want your retarded slogan, I just need 1 good fxxking service.

If you're 21 of age, vote for opposition in 2012, change we can believe.

Clearly I am, I'm too lazy to enlighten you. Read newspaper daily for more ideas. If you don't get my meaning, that's ok, because most ppl don't. Period.

I generally do not get caught up with issues currently being toyed with. However, not necessarily in defence of Nokia, we are saying that this here is no place to bring in the political environment. And if you are over 21, shouldn't you have enough grey matters in your brain not to do that in the first place?

Do you even know you can be detained under ISA for making that statement? I suggest you don't even reply this lest the MIB come knocking on your door. Trust me, I know.

If it is within warranty period, Maxis is the only place you can go to. However, if the warranty has expired, take it to any place you desire and fancy. But make sure you go to someone reliable.

oh boy, now i'm really embarrassed. if you could be so kind to enlighten me because i have to admit that i don't really read the news.

because my life resolves purely around iPhone related issues.

hence, if you could explain it to me, i would be most appreciative.

thanks a lot in advance man.

Not really mate. Just that I, like most of us here, do not want to see people going off tangent.

Your friend was probably unlucky time-wise. It has been reported that some people here have got their replacements in a couple of weeks. I suppose it is the timing vis-a-vis availability of the replacement units that dictates how fast you get back one.

Guys, I don't think there's a definite answer to the question of whether or not the Service Card itself is sufficient for us to make a warranty claim from Maxis.

Can anyone give an insight to this?

In my case, nope. If u wanna claim warranty, u must seek the initial owner authorisation 1st before can proceed to Maxis. If not, they refuse. Authorisation mean, copy of IC or, the owner need to help u to claim the warranty.

So,what is the purpose of Service card? hmm.gif

Therefore, for those buying maxis set here will have a problem if the seller is not willing to help u. Thats what i think la. icon_rolleyes.gif

Can anyone else who have got their iPhones through a third-party tell us their warranty claims experience? It would also be good if someone who is working in Maxis right now, and have an idea on how the iPhone warranty works, can brief us on how can this be done.

From day 1, there have always been 2 versions. It has also been reported here that the Service Card will suffice for warranty claims and people have successfully made them. However, like many things, not just with Maxis, it is the human beings who play God. This means, if you are lucky enough to consult a 'good' CS personnel in the right centre, you will have no hassle.

However, from the legal standpoint unless it is stated in the agreement otherwise, which I didn't read, Maxis must honour any warranty claims so long as you have the Service Card and the account under which the iPhone was bought has no arrears. If they refuse, you can challenge them by going to the Tribunal for consumers.
