Hmm i wanna ask D5000 with kit (18 55 VR) the AF speed fast? Can on par with canon 1855 IS kit lens? I found out D40/D60's kit is quite slow.

Hard to compare. Anyway the VR (D60 and D5000) version has improved in AF speed compared to the older non-VR version of the 18-55. Anyway.. I haven't used the newer IS version of the canon 18-55 but I find the older version seems to lack sharpness.
But after changing from my D40 18-55 kit to the 18-70 (D70/s) kit... I find the AF speed is in a different world already.

only bad thing is that it doenst have in body af motor and need to push more buttons to get the settings u want to have

Other than that and the screen... we can almost say it is a D90.

I would rather splash a few hundred bucks to get D90. D5000 is mostly aim at consumer level market.

The D90 overall package is just better by far.

Hey guys. Last Sunday, I went to my teacher's wedding. Got this one bro use D200 + SB900. Damn jealous lorh Me only with kit lens and zoom lens and I got no flash yet! Not enough money yet to buy but ok la the pictures that I have taken. Is RM550 for an used SB600?Still ok the condition.

Ala bro, don't let that get u down. Its always never about the thing, but how u use it . FWIW the D60 sports a similar CCD sensor as the D200, and its a helluva lot lighter, which is always a plus!

550 seems reasonably cheap, did u get to test the unit? But that's the thing la, u add another RM250 and can get a brand new SB600 - no worries and hassles anymore.

This is very subjective and optional. For me, gears are necessary to take nice pictures.
