Haha.. Actually were looking for my auntie instead of myself. She wants to recycle all the current parts so no point to loot the PCI-E version. I had found one for RM95 in garage sales. Asus P4VP-MX.. SiS chip but should be alright for normal usage.

Hows ya gear doing? brows.gif I was investing madly on storage nowadays. Currently having 2x WD640, 2x 500GB and 74G raptor as main drive. Soon to loot another 1T.. Just too much 1080p, anime to be store! lust.gif

waaa, so many storage device you got there... hosting the piratebay torrent files for malaysian branch perhaps? rclxms.gif

price is indeed expensive at Kuching, it seems

500GB is only about RM 150 here at KL. 800GB is 200 and 1TB is 280

@dlwl
Haha! Raid for storage ah? Way too much for me.. Actually were thinking to get about 74GB Raptor to RAID 0 my OS drive. But after several thought, is better to invest on storage rather speed. As currently i dont do much gaming. Can said is 0% for gaming but 100% of DL-ing and watching!

true, but there's a cons in all these huge HDDs, when any of the terabytes HDD dies, imagine the data that goes along with it! it will be a nightmare!

My price is before lubang price. Too bad, my lubang at SriComp doesn't carry 808GB HDD. So I am going Viewnet for it.

That's why RAID become more common on most of the modern motherboards. Just use RAID 1 to mirror the data.

yes, and we don't buy HDDs one shot, we acquire them as needed. different time different sizes different prices. that's why u c mine and fylon's HDD varies in capacities.
