Air Asia's hotel chain is expanding to all the major cities.
Just curious...anyone stayed in those Tune hotels before?
What is like to stay in one, worth the money compared to others? Comfortable?
Do you recommend others to stay?
The rooms look rather basic from the pictures with bare cement floor.
I know they charge extra for air-cond, towels, etc which might add up to quite a bit.
Notice the one in KL, junction of Jalan TAR and Sultan Ismail seems to be doing well.

stayed in the one in KK.

Paid Rm50 plus aircon. Very clean room. I have bad experiences with brothel like hotels and this one is an exception. Bed was damn comfy!!

Stayed in KL one before... erm.....aircon extra charge...peak season better don't book cuz not worth it already... overall, the bed is fine, wash room a bit small. Nothing much inside. If you just plan to get some rest then better book in advance for cheaper price.

tune hotel is good provided you book early and get the room for cheap.

the bed is superb and the shower is nice (but everything else pretty much sucks).

Feb 2, 2009 Tune Hotel is probably the worst hotel I had ever stayed in, whatever I paid for is not worth a single cent.

The rooms were extremely small, if you put two pieces of luggages in it, you can't move. You will have to move your luggage else way before you can walk out of the room or go to the bathroom.
The cleanliness of the room is horrible, as if like the 50s or 60s hotel. And the room I stayed in smelled funny, it is like something is rotting away.

I heard some funny noises throughout the night, keep repeating. It started with the sound like a big metal tray with some metal tools inside dropping to the ground and follow by loud noises of people talking. It went quiet in about 2 to 3 minutes, and after that the whole process repeated itself again in about 10 to 15 minutes interval and in the exact same sequence. This happened for about 4 to 5 time through out the night.

I later learned from some friends that Tune Hotel was a hospital before.

Scary!!

i stay at kch tunehotels last week. not a bad experience. quite a strategic area near to tun jugah, parkson and sarawak plaza.

the aircond rite, its preferable for u ppl to take up the 24 hrs package..

i took 4 packages of 12 hrs which total up to 48 hrs = RM13.49 x 4

but, if i were to take 2 packages of 24 hrs then the amount woud be RM21x2 (which is cheaper in a sense)

ceiling fan is provided free of charge..

Most single rooms in Penang Tune are without windows it seems.

Just checked in to this new hotel in Jalan Burma & unfortunately most of the single rooms have no window. This is a major disappointment when one has issues with air conditioning. Rooms which have no windows are a major concern for those of us who prefer fan cooled rooms. No mention is made of windowless rooms except on FAQ section whcih is obviouskly not accessed unless one has a question! I believe windowless rooms are important enough to mention on the booking details section when a single or double room is requested.l Otherwise the hotel appears clean & the rooms are a lot bigger than at the new Tune hotel at LCCT, KL. I would have stayed at my preferred backpackers in Lebuh Muntri if I had known about these windowless rooms.

Overall I feel Tune is still better than most backpackers place. For the price range it sounds OK, but the haunting part is quite creepy.....

我订了,表哥又订。

4个人不可能住4间房间吧!

想出让,不懂有人要吗?

我买的时候,两间房间总共可以睡4个人,total RM130.18

不晓得可以换日期吗?

Alamak.. double booking.. must be communication breakdown.. tongue.gif

If nobody wants the room, I guess you hv no choice but to cancel the booking or change date.

If not mistaken, they will charge you if you cancel booking..
It is best for you to refer to the cancellation policy.. icon_rolleyes.gif

I planned to book Tune Hotel in KL in August. Anyone know about the services, any testimonials?
How can I get the RM9.90/night rate?

I emailed them few times never been answered, and called twice also never be answered. I am wondering about the service now. But the rate is so tempting.

It's near Medan Tunku monorial station. One station away from chow kit.

I think Cititel Ekspress is a better place to stay. Just RM88 inclusive surcharge and everything per night.
The important thing is it's a hotel and not a budget ex-hospital or near graveyard place.

Many people asked about the history of Tune hotels. For me, as long as no eerie incidents...it is good enough considering the cheap rates. I have a friend staying in some backpackers place in Pudu. To me that is yucky environment (RM30) per night. For this price range you can get better place at Bukit Bintang. I really missed the guesthouse price in Chiang Mai. They have great rooms and cheap price, I am not sure if I can get such good deals again elsewhere cry.gif

Guys, any idea how's the parking around Tune Hotel Penang? Planning to drive there, but are there any place for overnight parking? Can park by the roadside?
*
Tune Hotel in Penang has a tiny carpark at the back. If you wanna park overnight, I suggest you park inside. It's RM5 per entry. Got people jaga, got cctv. If I remember clearly, New World Park (that place next to Tune) charges RM20 for overnight parking. If it's only for a while, park by the road. But maybe not that easy to get parking.

I stayed Penang Tunes before. Quite comfort. But dont expect much. Everything is need money. Including aircon(prepaid), towel(rental).

Surely it is juz a small room which have one queen size bed that can accomodate 2 ppl. No TV.

Bad thing is, check in time late, check out time early. This is the only stuff I dont like on TUNEs.

WORTH A TRY if you are spending the whole day outside, and you juz nid a room to sleep for the night only.

Haunted Budget Hotel”

Scary!!

1 credit = 12H = RM10 (for example)
1 credit = 24H = Rm8

Means if u r going to use the a/c for let say 3 night and each night u might be using it for 12 hours per night, total will be 36 hours for ur 3 night stay. So u could buy 1x 1 credit for 12H and 1x 1credit for 24H. Total a/c bil will be RM18.

I have a major problem with their website. I've booked my room and proceeded to payment. After completing my M2U banking procedures, the website doesn't change and i go back to my account page and i don't see my reservation there. Tried calling TUNE HOTEL number to sort out the thing twice and i was put on hold for almost 10 minutes each.

I'll try to call them again, in the mean time, i do advice potential travellers to not book using the web first.. i think it's bugged.

This is the site i booked from.

Issue resolved.... after 6 calls to their service center and put on hold for almost 45 minutes in total. Seriously have to buck up on their call center service..

Seems that they have a problem if you pay through maybank2u. Takes 1 day to process the stuff and for them to send the confirmation. Paying by CC seems to be fine..

I ever stayed at Tune Hotel, KL. I found that it was very inconvenience to me, very uncomfortable because too small, no space to walk inside the bedroom.

The washroom and bathroom are very small too. However, no doubt that the bed is comfortable.

Yes, there are public parking and private parking near tune kuching. For public parking, it is located just outside tune hotel, but the spaces are limited(around 20 cars, using parking coupon). There is another place for you to park your car, at taman kereta. Per entry is rm2 i think. Located 3 or 4 blocks away from tune.

Just came back from my stay at Tune Hotel Penang.

Overall experience is good. Staff very polite and helpful. Most importantly room is very clean and the bed is awesome to sleep on after a day touring. It's a tad small (what to expect from the price... ) and there are not enough hangers to hang our clothes.. had to improvise.. smile.gif

All in all, paid RM 140 for 4d3n inclusive of 24 hour air cond, 2 sets of towels. Would highly recommend it to people who just need a place to rest without all the other frills.

Have yet to stay at any tunes hotel. But I think they should target Langkawi as their market. 90% of the people there are tourist and they need a room to stay. Currently those cheap and affordable hotels in Langkawi are pretty rundown.

it's based on a timer. When you enter the room, you need to slot your keycard into the key slot. It's a computer which controls all the electrical in the room. So if you've purchased the aircond credits, it'll be programmed into your keycard and they room computer will know. The same with the hair drier.

Btw, the computer will automatically deduct 5 minutes from your air cond credits everytime you turn the air cond on. So don't go fooling around and turn it on and off unnecessarily. If not, your credits will be going down pretty fast.

Same price if you purchase online or purchase there. My advise is, don't purchase the air cond credit first, go there and check the room out if it's too warm or not. They have a fan in the room which sometimes might be enough.

Thank you for the useful info.

I have read somewhere (can't remember from where though) that the occupant suspected that his air-cond time depleted coz the housekeeper on the air-cond when tidying up his room. Do you think this is possible?

Stayed in Penang Tune Hotel back in late of June. If Im not mistaken I paid not more than RM90 for staying 2 nights, inclusive of a 24hour credit of air-cond and also hairdryer. And I only book it a week ahead tongue.gif

Overall the stay was fine. What you paid is what you get. I was lucky enough to get a nice view facing the times square. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is pretty small, but neat. Bed is comfortable, but somehow the shower is not as "power" as what I expected.

As what have been mentioned earlier, if you are looking for a place only to sleep without much activity needed in the hotel, I believe Tune Hotel is a good choice (Provided that you can get a cheap price brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif )

Anyone stayed at KLIA-LCCT Tune Hotel before? I read at the website that they offer a 3-hour refresher package from 9am - 6pm... I wonder how much is it as the price is not quoted on the website...

Will be going to KL on midnight, reaching there by morning, then straight away head to KLIA-LCCT... Flight is at 3.30pm, so maybe want to have a short break and bath at the hotel... Anyone can advice?

Stayed at Tune Kuching once. Comfortable bed and clean. The wifi needs username and password to log in. I manage to get a few times of 20 mins for free by asking them. Cheap and strategic places and the air con is not needed as the room is really cooling.

Last week was in kuta , Bali, stayed there again. I manage to get a room which faces the front. While other middle room only had small window that faces the walkway. They had bigger window but the air ventilation is very bad as the beach is at the back. It is much cooler to open the door than the window. So its really hot eventhough you set the fan low or high. It is a must to get aircon in Tune bali. I sweated like mad after sitting in the room for 5mins.

I was surprise to see that the add on in Bali is higher compared to the Malaysian / online order. For example, 24 hrs of aircon cost about Rm30. But they deduct by 5 second block compared to what you guys mention here which is 5 mins.

Wifi for 24 hours is about Rm33.

I stayed in Tunes Hotel Penang before. It was bout RM110+ for 4 days 3 night during the last december.

What I like bout the hotel is that it is location strategic at downtown, Jalan Burma. Well, just bout 10 mins walk to komtar bus station, great for backpackers traveler like me n my frens. There are many places nearby to eat as well.

If you are lucky, you might get a bigger and windowed room. Else, like me n my room mate, got the small and no-windowed room, which have kind of rotten smell due to poor ventilation. Thumbs up for the friendly staffs who gave us 6 hours free of air-cond after we go complain about the smell thumbup.gif

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and looked new. Housekeeping is done everyday.

I was penang there to travel around, went out early in the morning and back to the hotel at night, so it is ok for me as I only sleep in my room at night, not recommend those who like to stay for long time inside the hotel.

Afterall, this is "no-frills concept" hotel, dun expect much la...

i booked mine pretty last minute last mth ..
so i paid bout RM60 for one night with 12 hours aircond.. (12 hours is more than enuff coz u wont be in the hotel 24hours..

Its cheap, strategic and clean. Will be going there again soon end of t his year.. i booked 5 nights and 3 x 24hours aircond n cost me bout RM100 only. really cheap i have to say but dun expect a tv in the room .. its gonna be boring if u stay in alone but if u have frens then its fine.

*
here's the response i got from my email query to them.
For your information, our KLIA – LCCT Airport Hotel offers a Refresher Package which is inclusive of a 3 hour room usage with air-conditioning, towel and Wi-Fi. This package is priced at RM60. This package can only be purchased at the front desk between 9am to 6pm and is subject to availability.

I've stayed at 3 of the Tune Hotels before: KL downtown, LCCT and KK.

Overall it is okay if you're traveling solo and just looking for a place to put your bags (which I was). The bed, pillow & comforter was clean and comfortable enough (don't know about the 'rented towels' - I always bring my own) but admittedly, the room itself is pretty small. That didn't really bother me because I was out of the room most of the time anyway.

Tune Hotel LCCT is always my number 1 choice whenever I do a 1night KL layover. It's cheap, it's comfortable and it's definitely hassle-free.

Also, stayed 2 times for more than 4 nights at a time at Tune KL downtown - no bad experiences where "ghosts" are concerned. Then again, I don't really believe in supernatural existences so...

Stay for 3 hours for RM60? Wow...that's pretty expensive for a budget hotel. blink.gif
And you can even get the whole night for less than that amount of money if you book early.

May i know the double bed for penang.
can it accomodate 3 person ah?
Since we are going for 5 person, takkan the 5th person staying single room le.
The hotel side will know anot? or they dont allowed?
*
My bf stayed at Tune Hotel Penang when he was visiting me smile.gif The bed was comfortable enough for 2 people (standard queen size) but if you plan to squeeze 3 people on a bed I guess you can do that...just that you won't be able to move around much. Don't even think of sleeping on the floor as the room is very small. However, the bed was comfortable and everything was nice and new...recommended if you're on a budget.

I stayed at Tune Hotel KL last year, single room. Not bad, considering I got it for below RM50. If you only need a room for the night and spend the rest of the day jalan-jalan around, Tune KL is perfect! But only if you can get it cheap. Coz not so far from there, Cititel Express near Chow Kit offers rooms with full amenities at abt RM88. Near to a Monorail station too.

i have stayed there for 1 night before, near medan Tuanku Station there.
it is painted with with pinkish wall interiorly, but exterioly, it is in red colour.

the motto is always offering a 5 star stay with 1 star price! =D

and i can say it is very cheap, Only RM80 for 1 night, queen sized bedroom. i think should be the cheapest in KL.

the condition inside aren't bad, though it is quite small, and the stupid design of toilet, the door is fully transparent, offer little privacy for us.
huh, imagine if you are going with friends, quite bad if they can see you taking your bath from outside. LOL!

yeah really worth for the money from my experience. agree with stupid design of toilet, no also transparent but the door don't have any lock. so if you taking a bath, your friend can enter the toilet easily & brush his/her teeth beside you taking a bath... hehee...

Tune Hotel is opening just outside my area, which is in Kota Damansara, PJ.

user posted image

It looks ready from what I can see from the outside. I guess it is to cater visitors/tourists that frequent the new PJ tri-angle (Bandar Utama / The Curve / Kota Damansara).

Room rate from as low as RM2/nite.

The toilet door transparent?
I guess cos KL one is the first hotel.

No problem at Penang. It's not transparent.
And the latest hotel at Danga Bay and Kota Damansara even come with big screen TV.

Any other option beside Tune Hotel near LCCT?
I tried to book, but the price is ~RM80. For me is consider not worth, since i only wanna go there rest while waiting for next flight transit.

yes, i stayed there on their opening day.
the room is cheap and very clean (it shud be since i'm the first customer for the room, hehe).
if you're driving, about 10min to woodlands checkpoint.
i would say it's very recommended if dun mind spending times at checkpoint.

then go straight (less than 15min i guess) and u can see the hotel on ur right.

u get what u paid. for me, as long as the room is cheap and clean, that's enough.
cos i wont be spending much time in hotel room if i'm going out for holidays.

i've booked tunehotel in bali this coming oct. got it at rm30+ for 3 nites.
i remember the first time i went there and staying in one hotel, it was like almost rm500 for 3 nites.
u see, can use the money save to buy and eat alot of stuffs there.

just stayed in Tune Hotel Penang...not too bad...except that the room i had was a bit small...pretty much a size of a queen bed...enough room to walk around...

mind was middle room tho...no windows, hence I don't know if its day/night...but not bad la...the toilet is pretty nice with glass door...they don't provide toiletries tho...must bring your own...overall not too bad...

can't wait to try the one in Bali!!!

err...they dun provided for FREE, you have to buy if you didn't bring, either from them or outside shops. This is their business CONcept la.

I hate their non-carpeted corridors. People walking, talking or children playing noise seems to be amplified by the corridor!
And their wall are not sound proof, I can heard couple making out like I'm next to them!!! doh.gif

Some toilets are even smaller than Genting First World block 1 toilets. There is no curtain or partition between the WC and shower. You need to watch out or else your toilet tissue roll will all be wet. I guess they expect you to shlt and shower at the same time?
Most of the so-called power showers are not powerful at all, maybe they meant electric powered. laugh.gif

Towel and toiletries have to pay or bring your own. Inside the toilet they provided FREE are cotton floor mat and toilet tissue.
Most have hot showers...err make that warm shower and poor water pressure. Not sure if all have the 'pipe' to perform abulations with water.

Oh, if you're in the habit of using the hotel laundry bag there is NONE! Have to bring your own to keep the dirty bags.
And if you are an IT warrior, pls bring a multi electrical socket. They dun have enough electrical points for your handphones, Laptop, camera and PSP.

I beg to differ. The shower type is power shower.
It's way better than showers you get at normal budget hotel or even some luxury hotels.

Depending on the rooms you get. Sometimes the same type room can be bigger / smaller compare to another room.
If your toilet door needs to push inwards into the toilet, then most probably you are getting a smaller room.
If your toilet door got to pull it outwards, then you get a bigger room.

Lucks play a part. sweat.gif

LingLing, Toilet tissue is not Facial tissue la. Some Toilet tissue doesn't come in ROLL form. They come in pieces which is more hygiene.
With regards to the laundry bag, hotel wont charge unless there are cloths in them and dun leaving the bag lying around. My room-mate thought somebody stole his cloths after coming back late from a meeting. After an investigation, the front desk told him, it was sent for cleaning and wont be back till morrow afternoon. The poor guy had to pay for some expensive 5 star laundry service!

For Tune Hotel, if one roll is not enough, they do provide more, upon request and so far they haven't charge me.

I haven't stay at LCCT or KK. But the ones I stayed, the water pressure is not that great nor the water hot enough.
Ya, most have big shower head. So far I think Penang Tune has the biggest shower head.
Not all are centralized hot water. A few uses instant electrical heaters, and as far as I know these gadgets cannot take high water pressure or else the internal heating chamber will crack. Moreover, their 3kw instant heaters are not suitable in maintaining the correct water pressure to big shower head and if the water flow rate is too fast/powerful it does not have enough time to heat the water.

Tune hotels using king koil mattresses...... very comfortable nod.gif
stayed in bali n kk b4
Tune Westminster is using 'Hypnos' mattresses... should be very good too.

btw... anyone else managed to get the 1p rooms in london? i managed to get 2 nites for total 2p.
According to T&C, there is a £ 1.95 service charge for using credit card but upon checking with my cc customer service, they only charged 2p.
Using visa electron is free, which i dun have.

sorry... no pics to share. But i think all tune rooms looks & feel pretty much the same. biggrin.gif
But the bali shower nozzle is the 'rain shower' type is really nice. KK one the the normal type.
Also, dunno why bali building design so weird... none of the rooms got windows that opens out to the open air.
No view so its quite a bummer sad.gif

stayed at kuching's tune hotel b4 with 2 adults + 1 kids

the room = 1 x very comfy queen bed, 2 x side table, 2 x mineral water, 1 x wall fan, 1 x attached & fold-able table for laptop etc, 3 x clothes hanger together with 1 x attached to the wall hanger. enough space for you to walk in the room after put your bags. (*3 x standard size trolley bags for us)

the toilet = very clean! 1 x toilet bowl, hot/cold shower with glass wall & door, 1 x mirror, 1 x basin tab, 1 x tissue roll & 1 x water hose.
aircond = have to pay but you can split the credit...let say u buy 12hours credit, you can use for 2 or 3 nights (4 hours a day or etc) & remember they have a fan installed in the room which is FOC.

location = strategically located near the waterfront. exactly opposite to hilton hotel. walking distance to major tourist spots.

overall rating : 9.5/10 for a 5-star beds at 1-star prices

definitely will stay again!

thanx

But so far not applicable in Penang because corridor is too warm

As we all know, Cold air rush toward warm air place, Imagine the corridors are "conveniently" chilled 24/7 by 4 A/C and your room is Warm due to natural activity. All you got to do is to "vent" those cold air in via an opening say a half closed door?

i stayed before once in Penang 2months back. That was my first time and i am really amaze with the way they operate the business.

The have a very effective cost control system, and fully utilize every empty space that they have to advertise.

Their tag line, " 1 star hotel , 5 star sleeping experience"
I am agree with it, because is nice sleeping in there.

Recommended. =D

p/s: one thing that make me laugh is to use a hair dryer will need to pay RM1 per day. lol

The one in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman got many sounds la. It is situated in between 2 most busiest roads in Malaysia 24/7. On top of that next to Red light area. I stay there so many times already. I heard chinese noise, malay noise, indo noise and other humping noise also.
How not to have noise when their corridors are not carpeted and the bare floors tend to amplified all small noise!

The counter staff told me its calculated like this.

A day is from 2 PM till 10 AM ( check in/ out time).

Given your situation,it only make sense if they have revised it and a day now is from 12 am to 12 am the next day which makes total sense biggrin.gif

Active should be ok. Maybe there is an error in the email address.
To be on the safe side best you call them for clarification.

how's Tune Bali?  blush.gif

There are two Tune Hotels in Bali. One in Kuta near Kuta Square and the other in Legain , approx 2 km North of Tune Kuta.

Both are Clean and have proper security. Things promised are there. Beds are well kept and comfortable. Showers are both Hot or Cold and with High pressure ( Lots of water ). Corridors are clean and well lighted. So in emergencies getting out are easy.

Rooms as expected are small but sufficient for sleeping purposes. Care to get rooms away from the Lifts or Reception area as there are lots of "Noisy Tourist" which can disturb your sleep. Even at 2am !!

You can store your luggage at the reception for Rp7K per luggage when you have to check out at 10am ( Strict ) . Check in only at 2pm ( So if you arrived early you can store you luggage there before heading out to the town area)

Kuta is right at the centre of the Tourist Activity. It is only 1 min walk once you are out of the Hotel. Another 8 mins and you are in Kuta Beach along with Hard Rock Hotel , etc.

Legain is more of a Beach Hotel as you have to walk about 5 mins before you arrive at the Beach. There are small shops as you walk to the beach but don't expect much of branded shops or supermarkets. There are however mini markets and souvenir shops. Getting to Tune Legain from the main road ( Jln Double Six) can be dicey at night as it is not well lighted if you are walking.

PS :- A refundable Rp 15K deposit is required for the Room Access Card.

my room had a window but it opened up to the corridor where ppl walk along to get to their rooms.
i don't think they had much rooms with windows opening up to an open area but you can ask the reception.

my parents stayed at kota kinabalu tunes and got a windowed room which was really great according to them. however, when they ask whether if they can book a room with windows the next time when they come, the reception say that its up to luck which room you get. i dunno about the bali one.

Stayed at 1Borneo, KK for 6 nights, requested a room with window and got one facing the road. biggrin.gif
They will grant your request if room is available.

Nice as beside shopping complex but far from KK town.
However there's a free shuttle service into town. thumbup.gif

i don't think they had much rooms with windows opening up to an open area but you can ask the reception.

my parents stayed at kota kinabalu tunes and got a windowed room which was really great according to them. however, when they ask whether if they can book a room with windows the next time when they come, the reception say that its up to luck which room you get. i dunno about the bali one.
*
thx for the feedback
i doubt they have windowed rooms since they are running on a budget concept
plus for most tourist going there, every1 for sure wants a windowed room...

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Tune Hotel Danga Bay, I'm very pleased with my stay and I would definitely stay with them again. They've got the basics right.

Hello,

I planning to book KLIA-LCCT Tune Hotel for 2 Nights as I will be making transit from 2 different location. The price is about RM100/night include all tax and fees. Is it reasonable?

Or should I wait for a Tune Sale, if there is any. My travelling period is May 2011. Still got a long way to go. But I am KLIA-LCCT Tune is bestseller due to its location.

Honestly saying, I'd say Tune Hotel s*ck! If you are someone who can't sleep with noise, prefer some compartment to at least walk or sit then this is not the right choice. You'll have problem getting a good sleep cos people next door or from the same floor will be going in and out of their room. And the noises produced from the doors is like being slammed all the time. You can hear kids screaming as well. Basically Tune Hotel is a room with a bed and bathroom that's all. Even the table is a fold-able one by the bed. They charge extra if you want additional air-con usage, kick you out of the room when it's only 11am.

well, it IS a budget hotel.
i'm pretty satisfied with their service compared to other cheap motels which are mostly dodgy and dirty.
i also think charging for usage of air-conditioning is reasonable because most of us leave the air-cond on the whole day even when we're not around which is such a waste of electricity. sweat.gif

which tune hotel did you stay btw?

haven't stayed at tune hotel legian before but i can tell you it is very far away from hard rock kuta.
if you want to stay at a place nearer to hard rock kuta, why not stay at tune hotel kuta? it's 10 min walk from the beach, which is where hard rock kuta is.

Just back from my vacation in Tune Kuta.

Overall, not bad if you just want a place to sleep & shower. Beds is comfy. Central location & within walking distance to all the hang out places & beach. Roads are a bit tight tho.

Will upload pics when I have the time.

It's like a touch and go card. When you want to use it, then you use it. If you think you won't be using the aircond for more than 12 hours accumulated, then just get the 12 hours one. Or else get 24 hours.

3d2n better get 24 hours la. Mainly use aircond overnight, per night say 9pm-9am already 12 hours lor.

Dont worry, Tune legian is good in term of service & cleanliness~
I stay there for 2nights during my bali trip last month~
U have to walk through a small lane then make a turning on the right and go straight all the way~
Was scary at first coz it dark but there's a security standing by there~
They ask me "Tune Hotel??"
I said yes and they showed me the way~

Tune Legian got provide me a towel and toilet paper too~
They have a cafeteria (open till at night, not sure is 24hrs or not) & a 24hours mini mart at the ground floor~

Btw, its nearby legian beach~
Walking distance around 5-10minutes~
At night, there will be around 2-3 cafe/warung nearby Tune legian~
One of them is Cafe Marzano~ I went there for my 1st dinner in Bali~

Maybe u also can try your luck finding dinner at those restaurant or cafe nearby legian beach~

Here's some pics to share~

The rate can be cheap but u have to pay for all the extra stuff. STUPID

Not to mention, I don't feel comfortable during the night too. Feels like got spirit in the room. SPOOOOKKYYYYYYY...........

Not to mention, I don't feel comfortable during the night too. Feels like got spirit in the room. SPOOOOKKYYYYYYY...........

It's a budget hotel la.
Even those kampung hotel in some island, there are cheaper rooms with no Aircond and no toiletries. Bed might be low quality and have dirty bed linens and towels. Tune hotel is good enough as it has given us the basic and even a 5 star bed.

I bring my own toiletries whenever I go travel. Most of my friend bring their own towels as well. I don't mind the Aircond as I actually prefer fan. tongue.gif

Haven't stayed at kl one so dunno about the ghosts and spirits. Hehe.

Don't take this personally, but you're an idiot. This is the way Tune Hotels does business. Right up front at time of booking/paying online already they make it very clear that you need to pay extra for the amenities. Don't like don't stay lar, nobody forcing you what.

I just saw your post in the air asia thread. It seems that you complain too much and enjoy calling everyone else stupid. If you want to live like a king than stop using airasia and tune hotel service.

Tune hotel is not cheap if you add on air con + towels + toiletries.
And the check out time is at 10AM.

You can easily get cheaper hotels elsewhere when better facilities.

Hello,

This coming May, I will have 2 nights stopover in Kuala Lumpur. I will be arriving very late from Singapore at LCCT. I am planning to spend those time at Damansara such as Tune Damansara.

Is it adviseable?
I do not have car and I wish to shop around at 1Utama, The Curve and IKEA.

Why not visit KL?
I had been there recently.

About Tune Damansara, is there any nearby bus stop? Or how much roughly is the taxi fare from Tune to The Curve?

Tune to Curve/1U is like 2-3 km ... no idea how much that is in taxi ringgits. shouldn't be too much.

It's because your reply is as if Tune Hotels are running a scam job cheating you of your money.

If you pay rm400 to go stay in the Westin and they don't give you free towels then yes you have every right to complain. But Tune is very very very open up front about their business model. If you didn't like it you should've stayed somewhere else, not stay and then come call them stupid on forums.

Opposite Tune damansara got many eating area.. but to go to 1u,the curve/ikea i think you need to take a cab... not sure got any bus or not..

The curve and Ikea is together... once you reach the curve you can walk to Ikea....

1U is around 5mins drive from 1u...

thecurve/Ikea is around 10mins from Tune...by car if no jam...

toiletries actually comes together with towel. Towel is actually the most un-ecofriendly item because the massive amount of water to wash and massive heat produced for drying it. The motive of tune doin it was actually quite earth and energy saving. i dun mind paying aircond according to my needs rather than leaving it on from day till night eventhough i m not in the room, and also doesn't mind to bring my own towel and shampoo/shower gel, prefer my own brand anyway biggrin.gif

oh btw, not sure about your tissue but they do actually have toilet rolls in the toilet smile.gif

Hi all,

Anyone is planning to visit London within 12 months from today (4/2/2012) and considering Tune Hotel for accommodation?

I have cancelled one of the room in Tune Hotel Liverpool street.
"Due to the nature of our hotel concept and the strict guideline in our terms and conditions we will not be able to make a refund to your credit card. "
The amount paid £165 will be credited into my account for future bookings.

I need to find someone who is going to make booking for Tune Hotel in UK only to get the cash. " The credit shell amount must be used within six (6) months from the date of cancellation, although the actual booking can be up to 12 months in the future. If it is not booked within 6 months the money will be deemed forfeited without further notifications. "

PM me if anyone interested and willing to let go slightly lower price.
Thank you smile.gif

I stayed in Tune Hotels Penang once. never again! Ultra small, no view, noisy, ads all over the room (considering I paid rm100+ after extras for the room why do I still have to see ads?). No TV, coffee making facilities. No water. Wifi purchased only is usable on one device. Have to pay rm20++ for parking. Its worse than staying hostel!

I stayed the one in waterfront kuching last february. If book early can get rm 25 per night/single room(If late around rm 50 per night). Not bad at all le. It's small with a single bed but just comfortable enough. The bathroom door cannot be locked, but i love the power shower. I didnt request for any add-ons like air-cond and toiletries. They will provide u one small bottle of mineral water everyday(free).

I'm happy enough with this budget hotel.

Tune Hat Yai is awesome - spacious room, comfy bed, nice minimalist room decor (timber flooring), a plasma/lcd tv installed on the wall, and affordable if u book it early (like all tunes). I got it for around rm60/nite inclusive of satellite tv and 12 hrs of wifi per day. there's a pc at the lobby for free internet usage. Location wise, it's only 10 mins walk to the Lee Garden Plaza.

stay at Tune Kota Kinabalu once, located within 1borneo, location wise so so, as it is very far from city 10km from city centre, but the plus is 1borneo shopping centre, you got free shuttle bus to the city and the shopping mall is nice to spend your money there, but it not cheap compare to peninsular. ok back to the room, it is basic, the bathroom is quite big and clean, do not have any annoying ads like tune kl and penang. you do not need to purchase aircon as i found that the room is quite cooling and the fan is sufficient to cooling your whole room.

When go Penang, I always stay at Tune hotel, although the packing there is limited, but I feel good with this hotel.

I think you just booked it before few days to go there right? I booked it before a month, the price for the hotel is quite cheap.

Do you mean you parking beside the hotel right?

Yes, I stayed few times, this is good also I would say. There has a lot of parking lot, the price for the parking of coin that can get offer by Tune Hotel. This is located in Kota Damansara, so there have a lot of food you can eat just in front of Hotel.

Soap and shampoo are provided in Taiping branch. Only drawback is once you booked it, you cannot change any room type.
