ultrasn0w for iPhone 3G 3.0

3G users all around the world with locked iPhone are still awaiting for DevTeam to release it. if the guy is able to unlock it now on 3.0, he should be doing it via flashing the phone's IC way, which makes it act like an officially-unlocked iPhone.

I'm on Vista x64 so Redsn0w won't work correctly? That means no JB for me tonight

i know that at the moment u can't unlock it...i specifically ask him whether he's doing a software unlock or hardware unlock and he says software unlock. i just thought of sharing the story with u guys

You can try as some manage to do it. We're getting heaps of complains that they got stuck at "waiting for reboot". So they switch to XP and it's all fine. So you can take your chances and give it a go since your iPhone is officially unlock. You choice mate.

I do hope someone can place some workaround to help with this Vista issue.

actually i created d custom firmware using mac for my fren..... he got no mac and wanted to try to restore it thru windows lor.

good thing about pwnage tool is u can resize your root directory........ default root directory is 500mb and apple system file already use up 414mb...

so anyone did try this method? does it work? thanxQ

definitely can update to firmware.....firstly u must upgrade your itune to 8.2 then from itune u can upgrade d firmware to 3.0..

then u can use redsnow to jailbreak.......remember dun use redsnow with Vista....

I will bring this up to Planetbeing. He said though he developed Redsn0w 0.3 (ipod touch 2g jailbreak tool at that time) on Vista 64 so he isn't sure what happen for now. Let the poor guy finishes with the Ultrasn0w loader first and give him some time to rest also.

Never trust them who say they are the only ones who can unlock 3.0. So far none unless hardware modification. Most of us are waiting for DevTeam to furnish us Ultrasn0w that unlocks Locked 3G iPhones with iPhone 3.0. So don't trust anyone until you do heaps of research.

If you're using Vista, you'll face with the "waiting for reboot". Reboot and redo the whole process or use Win XP.

Btw, there's no more Quickpwn as the name Quickpwn has changed to redsn0w.

can the iphone 3GS be unlocked now??

Im currently waiting reboot my iphone after JB using redsn0w 0.7.2 (MAC PPC)

The last step i did was like below image.


After click "Finish" button, the phone screen shown "hard disk with green color arrow". This freezing takes from 10:30pm to 10:40pm.

After that, its auto restart and show my previous bootscreen (Pwnage 2.2) and it keep freezing till now! (11.10PM)

I wonder how long this gonna take and now i keep sweating because according iclarified tell its only take about 5min!
