Anyone has tried it with the Maxis Iphone 3G? Can I use the 3.0 software from the CD Maxis provided and just use Redsn0w on top of that?

What does the error message says? I'm halfway through upgrading to OS 3.0 from the CD which Maxis provided.

Do you have some other OS? I've tried running redsnow in WinXP SP2 compability mode and it doesn't work (during my first run as I'm not sure if it's supports Vista x64).

QUOTE(psyntium @ Jun 24 2009, 10:21 AM) good news.. i've found the source of my network and lagging problem.. it's the email push function.. after I changed it to manual, it seems that no more network problem + it's not lagging anymore.. Wow, I found out that mine is defaulted to "Fetch" as well and I've turned it off. No wonder sometimes emails are automatically downloaded, lol. |

Normally after you upgrade firmware, you'll have to jailbreak again. Depending on the version you're using, there'll normally be a jailbreak method so just keep yourself updated and google is your best friend

I've jailbreak-ed my 3GS 3.1.2 with blackra1n and everything works great so far except that I haven't tried tethering. Is that supposed to be a known issue?

blackra1n is the easiest way to jailbreak so far. The previous methods are more complex so this is rather straight forward
