Hmmm... Comparing the current FW & future F outlook, I personally prefer the FW, which look more futuristic to me.
![]() But the F series got backlit keypad which I dreamed of~~~ ![]() |

QUOTE(DalphinuS @ Jan 7 2010, 01:22 AM) No issue, thanks for ur concern. Yea..dats what I have been told. I went to Sony Style in Pyramid just now, planning to get 9-cell batt for my FW. But the price is RM925. Haih.I juz wondering if my battery serves me long enuff with 4hrs+ On full charge, it shows 5hrs+ I never tried drain off fully on the battery b4. But oftenly it lasts 2hrs+ for my Internet surfing outside without the cord, and it consume about 40% of the charge. By the way, I using an extended battery for my FW. Something I read in Internet, never let ur battery on full charge when u not using it, or planning for long storage. Best storage is at 40% charge. And it's no harm for us to charge it again without fully drain off. It's ok for LiIon battery to do that. But advisable to fully discharge it once a month so something inside there will have a reset. I not sure what it is anyway. Now at home I fully run on power & detach battery. At outside, I fully run on batt. Coz the batt is 500gram already, no space for the cord d~ Pls correct me again if I got this wrong... Better take a gud care of my battery, if not I have to swipe my cc loo. Dalphinu, if you run the laptop with the battery detached, will the cooling pad works? |

I will buy if there is any need.Let me get this correct, u mean if I'm running the FW without the battery (detach), the cooling pad from the USB will run? - Yes, I'm using my FW without the battery at home, the USB cooling pad is blowing. I bought a Cooler Master Notepal but when I detached the battery, it wont spin. I gave it to my sister (since she had an Asus) and bought a new one. But the cooling fan should run if the battery is detached izzit? I've bought DVD-R, planning to create the recovery disc. However, because I did not create the recovery disc immediately after I brought it home, I would like to restore everything back to it's original condition, like how the Sony Style give it to me before creating the recovery disc. Do you guys have any idea on how to restore it back?
Another thing, I've attached 2 pictures. As you can see, the desktop of the show units in Sony Style/Centre are as the attachment2. However sometimes, my desktop showed as attachment1. I've circled the difference between attachment 1 and attachment 2. Do you guys have any idea why is it like that? Oh, by the way, is it okay for my one-week old laptop to produce some soft sound (but you'll be able to hear it) when your laptop is switched on? It's like "z z z" sound. Okay, that's all for now. I'm sorry to trouble you guys with so many questions but I'm such a noobie when it comes to computing stuff. Ha ha. thanks for answering my question in advance! QUOTE(shankar_dass93 @ Jan 8 2010, 10:28 PM) Yes, the bar is Vaio Gate. If you mouse over than you will see the list of icons such as Office, Webcam, WinBD and stuff. The first one is called RSS feed. I havent tried to explore yet but I believe you can turn off the RSS feed.Regarding the sound, ot could be the fan, but I havent heard any audbile sound when my laptop is turned on. Only the annoying BDRom drive sound which I can live with it. |

So it's the sound of the fan.
I believe u could only hear them when u're alone in the room in midnight, where it's very silent room. So, who can show me how can I get this Vaio Gate thingy? Why it's not in my FW by default?? |

Do you guys have any idea on how to restore it back? No need to perform system recovery before creating recovery disc. Recovery disc isn't back up disc. Recovery disc contains only information valuable for reinstalling the default OEM Windows and Vaio drivers. All your current datas not related for recovery will not be burned into the DVD-R. Hi everyone, i am interested in VAIO CW series and thinking to buy one myself. However i'm concerned about the operating system which is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit as i personally prefer 32-bit. Is it possible for me to choose 32-bit instead of 64-bit?
P/S: VAIO stands for Visual Audio Intelligence Organiser, according to Wikipedia This post has been edited by caspersky: Jan 10 2010, 01:47 PM |
