Hey guys i am planning to get the fw55 ?
hows this model and the specs ?

Hey guys, i plan to get a sony vaio lap top before this christmas.
My budget is 5k{maximun} including extended warranty.
i will be using my lap top for music, watching some music video,dvd"s, playing a bit of games,surfing the net and doing some school projects.
I was considering going for the vaio fw55 which is rm4499 and an additional rm430 for extended warranty.
is the specs in this lap top good ?
are there any other models that you"ll recommend me that is within 5k?
by the way, i heard that the older models of the sony vaio had some problems,example- problems with the lcd and the hard drive{making some loud noise},and some models encounted overheating problems. Does this still happen to the new models now ?
is it worth buying sony vaio lap tops ?
i dont want to regreat after buying it.

Hey bro, i just wanted to know weather was it true,because i dont want to get a lap top and then start regrating.
i just need some opinions. because my friend had a vaio cs and it was giving alot of problem............no hard feelings.

hey guys is it true that some of the buttons on the sony vaio fw55 does not work since windows 7 was installed example the brightness control buttons,zooming buttons etc.
is it tru ?
can there be anything done ?

i got to say that Sony Vaio laptops do actually rock
i feel that the vaio really suites me.
i think i did a good choice

do i have to do any updates for this laptop, example and driver or bios lap top ?

i bought it frrom sony style in the curve.
the lap top cosst rm4499 and the price of the extended warranty was rm430 before a 20% discount.

they gave me a free backpack and a hdmi cable

btw,if i am going to burn a recovery disc using a dvd, how many empty dvd"s will i need ? i called up sony and the guy told me to prepare about 3 to 4 empety dvd"s. how many do i actually need ?
