nice one shuto. the finish is exquisite. i'm sure it sounds heavenly too. never demo-ed a SF before, beyond my league.
Use the Cremonas as wides in a DSX config?
Thank you, it sure does sound heavenly

I'm so glad I pulled the trigger and got them! You should go walk into Perfect Hifi one day and demo some speakers. Just as a reference. *poison poison
But like htkaki said, I don't have DSX but frankly I don't need wides. The Stradivaris have really really really good sound stage.. very wide.. and hard to pint point.. the sound just comes from the front.. that's all - every where from the front.

*and yes, im a sourgrape

that's why now I wear sarong at home after work. Too costly to keep buying new pants and underwear

To be frank, it could be placebo effect. Just that it is a tad cleaner when in pre-amp mode. Nothing else.
I am aiming at a good stereo pre-amp now to partner the stereo power amp. Then, I can 'relinquish' the int amp and make another stereo system. Problem is that it is very difficult to find one esp the model that I want. I knew a few elite owners but all of them are keeping it even if they upgrade. Sigh....
Buying a new pre-amp is out of my league. Checked. Cheapest one is USD10K

when I ask the local distri. One step up is USD16K
DAC might be the next in the list.
Too bad the 2nd hand hifi market in Malaysia is so small. 2nd hand high end stuff are hard to come buy. Some elites don't bother with selling. They just chuck them in their store room to collect dust

What DACs are you considering?
