get a network monitor to be sure that your internet connection is not the problem. example like this NETMETER you must have a stable line for updating...

turn off your avast antivirus....

turn off firewall - goto windows start > control panel > windows firewall

try changing the USB port, maybe some issues there?

if you cannot complete the firmware download then it's most likely ur internet problem.

maybe you can try using another pc/laptop or another internet connection

Yes, I dont think it is internet connection problem after you have tried so many times.
I believe there is some file corrupted or clash within your firmware.
Its better for you to send your phone to nearest nokia center for troubleshooting

what is the maximum contact list that e71 can hold? becoz i got like 1000+ contact list, zzzzz.

if i'm not mistaken, the contact list is base on your phone/memory card size. it doesn't store on the sim card. so the amount of contact list is the maximum amount of available memory that you have.

actually can store a lot, last time i found my customer have around 2500 contacts, is only used up roughly 600KB..
have limit, roughly reserved 2MB on the system for contacts..so far i haven't meet any customer say not enough storage for the contacts..
can check this info in your contacts - options - contacts info..

I am using 8G and now almost occupied 50% of my memory card, will it cause over capacity for the processor to handle?

By the way, can you teach me how to delete some program??
I have updated my firmware to the latest and found some of the program actually disapper in the remove list, but those program still can be executed.

Just that I would like to uninstall them, but I couldn't found where is the main program, everytime I press remove and it will showed remove failed.
Pls advise me

how much of msgs can u guys keep ar in ur inbox?? my friend with an xpress music kept up to 9k msgs?? i have abt 1.6k now..but i feel the phone is a bit laggy already x_X

I am made to understand that accessing your music and image folders will take some time due to the big size. i'm using 4G also take some time to access my images / photos, no problem with music though...and never hang before..

How about to uninstall some hidden program?? Just like my question as below on previous post

u need to deactiave the APN Control under Tools --> Connection.

this would solve the problem.

in the message configuration, the maximum that i can set is 999. cannot even go 1K.

but i suggest to save your sms into a folder under "My Folder".

for me, i archive it on monthly basis.

Can help me on this issue as below:

since you already updated firmware, i'd suggest you do a hard reset of your phone to ensure all the previously installed apps are cleared.

STEPS: turn off your phone. While pressing call button (green key) + Y@3 + U@*; turn on the phone and keep on holding the 3 buttons. You can release them after the welcome screen (handshake screen). That should reset the phone and return to original clean state.

Delete installed software on memory card and re-install each and every app.

DO BACKUP YOUR PHONE PRIOR TO THIS RESET. You can easily backup your phone contacts, notes and calendar to microsoft outlook, very convenient and efficient.

1 thing though, set your dialing properties prior to backup using outlook especially if you save numbers with the "+60" code. I myself set the country as other than malaysia coz when i set to malaysia it will save numbers as +60(space)12xxxxxxx.

1st thing 1st.. wat is the programme u r trying to delete here? mind telling? i thought updating firmware already suppose to reset ur phone o factory setting.. i think wat u having there is installed software in ur memory card.. i suggest u hard reset ur phone and reformat ur memory card as well.. then everything is brand new.. ..
