A2: For jailbroken iPhone users, you can download 'SBSettings' via Cydia to disable EDGE. You can also easily toggle On/Off for WiFi, SSH, 3G, etc. Take Note: *SBSettings has no icons. To launch SBSettings, slide your finger at the statusbar where your time/carrier is located. This will launch the program.

For Maxis Users: If all of the above suggestion fails, you need to insert a non maxis simcard and then set the APN with some gebberish words and then swap back your simcard. Your internet connection should fail to connect.

To disable EDGE, go to [Settings/General/Network/Cellular Data Network]. Place gibberish words to completely disable EDGE connection like below:
APN: iPhone
Username: iPhone
Password: iPhone

first..copy the library file of the iTunes from your dad pc and paste it on your pc..later try opening iTunes with your pc without connecting to your phone..if it doesn't open.. Then try reinstalling the iTunes and open it.. Once ur ok with that.. Copy the library file into the iTunes.. Sync to your phone.. All the apps will be there...

well the iPhone from US is a locked version..so you need to restore it then you need to unlock it and jailbreak the phone...for unlocking and jailbreaking check in the pwnage/blackra1n thread...

I can't open my iTune store!

I received my iPhone from my dad and I think he had created an account for himself on his computer, before passing it on to me. Now when I sync my phone with the iTune on my laptop, it disabled all my apps and won't open the iTune store whether from my phone or from my laptop.

Help?

I am having problem with my iphone 3G 16GB (3.1.2 blackrain) where my phone cannot detect any GPS signal.
I have tried to reset network setting, reset location warnings and launch Maps/MotionX GPS/TomTom again to search for the satelite signal but still unable to get. It only show "network triangulation only"
Anyone have similar problem here? Any suggestion how to fix it?

just bought a 3gs from US, and when I was trying activate it through itunes, it says "your phone is in recovery mode" and asked me to restore my phone. how do i start from here? do i need to restore it? i can't seem to be able to register for itunes account as well.

Launch Internet Explorer
Click the Tools menu
Select Internet Options
Click the Connections tab
Click the LAN Settings button
Make sure that that "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox is unchecked
Click OK till you are out of everything, and then close Internet Explorer
Try again in iTunes to load the store

well try reinstalling your itunes on your pc...get a new one from the apple website...
