thats weird, coz im on maxis carrier 5.0 and everything seems to be ok....
sometimes sendding mms takes time.... sometimes around 2-3 minutes just to clear the sending... try send mms and do not close until it is fully sent....
*
What is your success rate? For me, only 3-4 success out of 10 attempts. Sometimes, I tried till gave up. Yea I never close it until it showed a red exclamation mark (sending failed). Is your iphone JB? 3GS? 3.1.2? Do u use any custom telco carrier?

QUOTE(mikej1899 @ Jan 9 2010, 03:55 PM)
opps sorry, that seems to be applicable for iphone 3.0.  tongue.gif

1. MMS Settings For Maxis, DIGI, Celcom and UMobile for iPhone 3.0

maybe u can try wat g3n0c|d3 recommended or post the question in the jb threads (if it is jb problem). the si fus there might be able to help u out.

Thanks mike, you've really helpful. I'm glad smile.gif

On the side note, my iphone 2G (JB,3.1.2) has no problem whatsoever in sending MMS (on DiGi) , success rate 100%.

I think you are the majority. Sending mms with the iPhone is somehow tedious. It's like what you said, hit-and-run. And you have to most times try a few times. However, a 'better' way is to go to message, select the image(s) you want sent, rather than go to the photos folder and send from there. Try it. Could help to alleviate the problem.

i believe it's due to maxis network. Why?

Iphone 3GS JB 3.1.2 (maxis official set) = MMS problem
Iphone 2G JB 3.1.2 (unlocked for DiGi and installed Native MMS) = no MMS problem

Why do we pay for such premium price for a crap that cant even send MMS?

baffled me

Maybe it is for ur area. East Malaysia's maxis has not always been good (especially my hometown in Miri). But in KL, I dun face this kind of problem.
(mine is not jb)

where's g3n0c|d3 from? he also needs to attempt a few times to send mms and his is jb.

If he is also from ard ur area, high possibility its maxis prob. but if he is in kl or where maxis network is good, then there may be higher possibility due to jb?

But all these are from my assumptions.

Hope u get ur prob solved soon bro

Whilst I will not rebutt your statement about the mms, I will however say that no one and I repeat, no one buys the iPhone with the main intention of sending mms'es. If it is for that, other phones will do a better job. iPhones are for other purposes and that's why Apple did not even include that function until this latest model.

okay okay.

not that i'm attempting to rub to the wound, but seriously... MMS is like so... 1990s.

just only a fortnight ago, a friend of mine was advocating the usage of MMS, he ended up the laughing stock of the posse.

furthermore the picture of MMS is so blardy kecik and not forgetting horrible resolution - can barely see anything; a mediocre chick gets an instant "transformation" into some hot, fit gal with the MMS

email is the way to go! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

You need to register the iTunes accounts from the respective countries.

Hi All

Recently, I had this problem and I'm not too sure what's causing it. From the pictures attached here, the wording on the app turns out weird characters instead of the proper app name in the 'iTunes App Management screen'. It also caused any app unable to rearrange into the proper position. Whenever I try put one app into another springboard pages, once sync with the phone, it'll remain the same again with nothing changes.

Anybody encountered this problem recently and found a solution to it?

I am venturing a 'guess', if you will, looking at the screenshot you provided. It is probably because you have loaded more than the allowed 12 pages of springboard. Suggest you load Categories and stuff some of the apps into it. See if that helps.

If your phone is still under warranty, maybe you should let Maxis do the repairing.

just restore it before you send it in.
