UPDATE - STATEMENT FROM TM ON INTERNET SERVICES DISRUPTION

Dear Valued Customers,

Referring to our earlier statement on 31 March 2009 on the disruption of our Internet services due to circuit faults on the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 3 (SMW3) cable network between Tuas, Singapore and Penang linking Malaysia to Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) near Chongming, China connecting Malaysia to the United States, Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to announce that there is a delay in the restoration of Internet services due to technical problems at the repairing stages.

Due to the delay, full recovery of Internet services is now expected to be on 9 April 2009.

Customers using Internet services may continue to experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the US and Hong Kong. In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the US and Hong Kong may also experience some service degradation. To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been directed to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

TM wishes to assure its customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore communications services for its customers as soon as possible.

Customers can call TM at 100 and select “Internet Services” or e-mail us at help@tm.com.my for any Internet related problems.

my tm nut screamyx becoming more lazyness ...
i have 1mbps screamyx , but when im test my speed with speedtest my download speed only : 0.87 mbps and my upload speed juz 0.33mbps ?
does this normal ?

anyway i call tm today ,
1stly they said that i have problem with the connection , she said that my line was "putus-putus"
like every 10min .

Than they said troubleshooting pulak
which one is it ?
and tehy said juz use direct phone cable for 1st30 min they gonna analyze it and gonna call me back ,
but until now no phone call received

I've realised that only IP 60.48.x.x gives me full speed. So, it's consider very lucky for me if I have this IP range. Busy downloading now... lol.

Really? But I have no problem with web surfing as well. It's as good as before this stupid international link outage happened. My IP 60.48.x.x is pretty blessed, I guess. LOL.

60.48 & 60.50 give me full speed download from mu.

60.48 -45kb~61kb

60.50 - 50kb~71kb.

i'm using 60.48 and the speed is terrible during 7pm onward till 1am.
Game have 3-5secs delay. If circuit have problem y during peak hrs only have problem lol. I notice the problem always start during these time.

my rapidshare download speed degrade horribly in this 3 days.

my speed decrease to 10kbps in last 1 week till now for megaupload & rapidshare and still doesn't increase at all
