frankly, I've been having this slowdown since last week of last month...

and it's very rare if you wish to get even with TMnet...there isn't much you can do. Send in complains...that's it....and still wait.
the customer service isn't gonna do much but file more reports....
scolding them ain't gonna make things better too...coz they aren't the people fixing and troubleshooting it...

this is the very reason why there should be MORE broadband players in the country instead of just ONE that monopolize the entire country's land lines....

But there is not much that can be done for land lines...laying new infrastructures are costly...and provisioning cost is the same.

Only way is to have new regulations that any downtime of customers below a certain kbps would deem that void to bill customers for that week, days or months.
This might just enforce them to perform much more regular performance analysis.
That again...would be costly again....so, why would anyone set such rules?...

not much choice, gotta just bear with it.

TM SERVICE INTERRUPTION ANNOUCEMENT

Dear Valued Customers,

Referring to our earlier statement on 31 March 2009 on the disruption of our Internet services due to circuit faults on the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 3 (SMW3) cable network between Tuas, Singapore and Penang linking Malaysia to Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) near Chongming, China connecting Malaysia to the United States, Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to announce that there is a delay in the restoration of Internet services due to technical problems at the repairing stages.

Due to the delay, full recovery of Internet services is now expected to be on 9 April 2009.

Customers using Internet services may continue to experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the US and Hong Kong. In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the US and Hong Kong may also experience some service degradation. To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been directed to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

TM wishes to assure its customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore communications services for its customers as soon as possible.

Customers can call TM at 100 and select “Internet Services” or e-mail us at help@tm.com.my for any Internet related problems.

Actually it is not fair for you to direct your anger at something so general like a whole race.

You should read Zaid Ibrahim's book, "Saya Pun Melayu". Actually if TM was full of dynamic people like Zaid Ibrahim, guarantee it will be the best broadband service in the world.

What you should be blaming are "incompetent people who hold their positions not because of ability but because of slanted hiring policies in a company culture that tolerates mediocrity and communal protectionism"

That could apply to any race in any country, when it happens, things will go bad biggrin.gif

I totally agree with you.
It's not just Malays that fix the cable, many other races too join the 'fun' including Chinese and Indian's.

Don't ever blame them.
They're just recieving orders from their upstairs to do the work.
They just do that for a living.

Wanna blame? Blame the CEO for not investing enough.
I demand that you apologize what've you said.
