google.com and www.google.com both are being resolve with a different IPs, hence your ping will be different.

I have no idea what to tell you sir.

You do realise that the values in traceroute is the total time it takes to get to your google.com? Hence 34ms for the first ping, 34ms for the second and 44ms for the final.

You can let the people working in actual ISPs tell you what is accurate and what is not.

those VPN providers should get a datacenter locally with a good backbone to international connection, i dont mind paying 10 or 20 ringgit for that service as long can reach full speed for DL, streaming and browsing. since pings to local content is quite low, it should be fast as long their server dont use the same routing that TM use for home users...

No apologies needed, my response was a little aggressive also, so i apologize for that.

You probably need people to ping google in one country (or one specific ip address) if you want to see more reliable results.

- TMnut

I donnu man, thats what they told me, LoL. You know its gonna be sh*t when next month starts with whole new sh*t like cable <insert name> problem or we're having a upgrade downgrade to save more money for our own asses. With the recession coming soon in tsunami like pattern, the next time it happen, it won't be fully recovered, anyways, Malaysia Boleh right smile.gif

PS: Not trying to be a pessimist or anything, just saying things like it is, you know, in MALAYSIA.

use google.com.MY to google, its faster, or u can use google.com.AU to google...should be faster also
*
Using .my or .au doesn't make any difference for Google.

If you look up www.google.com.(wherever) you get their geo-targeted DNS which should find the data centre nearest you. From Malaysia you get 216.239.61.104 - it's the same if you use www.google.com.my or www.google.fr or www.google.com.mx or anything else. It's about 35ms from TMnet so it has to be quite close to here, maybe India?

google.com (without the www) and google.com.my and so on get you a different set of servers, always located in USA.
