dats quite dangerous.. ive tried readin past year, applyin p3 frameworks n such to p1 n everythin else.. my booklet damn thick but end up fail. urgh.. really at a dead end. i just duno wat to write nemore.

i think hv to practice writing more, if not in the exam sometimes dunno what to write, or the point expressed wrongly, eg, the flow of the answer, the structure, expressing precisely what we need to express, or maybe sometimes write too much for a 10 mark Q, but too little for 20 mark Q. I believe practice makes perfect. gambatte! smile.gif

NMV, try your best in coming sitting. If you feel take 3 papers are really hard, then try P1 & P3 1st. It is more easy for P1 & P3 as compare to P2.

Regarding a question a few pages back about whether it's worth it to get ACCA to remark your papers, my thoughts are the same as everyone else who had expressed their opinion. Chances of them passing you is very slim, but it is not entirely impossible. One of my friends who did her F5 in Sunway two sems ago managed to change her 48 to a 51 after asking them to remark. But that's the only case I've heard where the student gets the better end of things.

Out of curiousity, at what age did most of you guys graduate at? I've a 19 year old friend who just completed his ACCA..damnn...

Hahaha, that friend of yours will regret it. LOL. I myself graduated at 20, doing a 2 1/2 years express route, and a few of my other frens just celebrated their 20th b'day after 6 months in audit. They all regret coming out so early. Hahahaha.

Of course, this is the perspective of young, playful and adventurous folk who yearn the adventure of being overseas, travelling the world and enjoying college life. Hahaha, some, on the other hand will think the youth means we work more, mature faster, earn more money, which is good (sorta). Haahahaha...

Well, according to acca statistics, only 1-2% who requested for remark, managed to have their marks converted

You a full time or partime student?? Me also in Menon class, but Menon are expert in P2, but if you just follow fully Menon instruction, its more then enough to pass. Even if you dun attend the class, just study hard and practice a lot sure can pass.
*
sounds tat you are from menon's class too.. haha..
we were classmate last sem leh..
i think tis time p2 passing rate will be damn low.. even f8 n f9 the same oso.. menon is goin to bomb the class upside down tis time..
luckily i passed her paper d.. wahaha..

Pass my F8, P1 and P3. Failed my P2(expected that...doing P1,P2 and P3 in a sitting is a killer)

Wanna ask...Any lecturers or mentors currently offering OBU mentoring intake? Because most mentors start before the result out. Since submission is november i think still not too late to start right?

I cross referenced with a lot of my optional friends & most didnt expect to pass P4 with ease but turn out failing P6.
It seems many didnt see it coming for tax in my batch, I think pass rates will certainly be very low for tax this seating. Finance pass rates has already been marked down bcos of international boycott & complaint. Some wants to sent virus to Bob Ryan too. tongue.gif

In Sunway, so far highest for F4 seems to be 83, F5, 83, F6, 90.

Anyone here know anyone who got higher than those?

Added on August 17, 2009, 2:54 pm

That's quite good already, considering how hard they said the paper was
*
Hey keep up the good work until you finish all acca papers. Marks will go very funny in professional level, just ask any of your sunway seniors. biggrin.gif . I met some who aced 90 in some F papers in my class went cucko banana when comes to paper like P2 & P4 & P6.

Actually it does matter a bit if anyone is interested in joining Big firms or company especially with current economic climate. Investment banking apprenticeship programme checks rigorously & Big 4 does. According to a HR manager I met during ACCA career fair told me about 3 key indicators :
1) Duration completed (preferably within 3 years)
2) Consistency (not failing I guess)
3) Marks (they need to know your core competency matching with job description, if excel in tax but apply for finance post sort of scenario....)

Hoho, passed my ACCA. P5 - 61, P7 - 62. Seems like all my part 3 papers are around that range. Finally I can fully concentrate on my work!

Congrats to others who passed their respective papers, especially those who just became affliliate! Remember, its just the beginning of your life! (or not, if ur in audit).

To those who didnt make it this round, gambateh! ACCA is a marathon, not a race. It's just in a matter of time. All the best!
