Argh! I passed P1, P3 and P7 but failed my P6! So much for trying to make history by attempting 4 P level papers at a go..

Regarding a question a few pages back about whether it's worth it to get ACCA to remark your papers, my thoughts are the same as everyone else who had expressed their opinion. Chances of them passing you is very slim, but it is not entirely impossible. One of my friends who did her F5 in Sunway two sems ago managed to change her 48 to a 51 after asking them to remark. But that's the only case I've heard where the student gets the better end of things.
Out of curiousity, at what age did most of you guys graduate at? I've a 19 year old friend who just completed his ACCA..damnn... |

QUOTE(le3n @ Aug 19 2009, 12:05 AM) i thought i was crazy sitting for 4 professional papers last june Wow..hats off to you! I thought mine was bad (P1, P3, P6, P7), but yours is definitely more impressive with P2 in the fray. Too bad I stumbled with my P6 and can't graduate yet... but yeay....i passed all 4 (P1, P2, P3 & P5) so I have one more optional paper to go before i become an affiliate still thinking of which paper to take..hmmm |

QUOTE(Topace111 @ Aug 19 2009, 11:30 PM) 24th August I think. I'm sure to be stepping on some toes by saying this, seeing as to how some of you practically worship CKF, but the whole CKF-Sunway fiasco is probably the biggest factor for the high P6 failure rate in Sunway this time around.A sunway friend told me that his uni also had a lot of people failed P6. Maybe we need CKF more than ever now. I just read the examiner's report on P4 & P6 : P4 : Examiner released stuff mostly to do with UK not internationally, thats why many non Uk students are confused. P6 : Examiner experiment by putting up very old & unpopular topics. One funny note is that he recommend students to take English classes. |

Just for the sake of the current discussion, 3 semesters ago (the semester for the Dec 08 exam) an ACCA representative from UK (can't recall his name) came to Malaysia and had a forum with local institutions' ACCA lecturers regarding the professional core papers (P1-P3).
Among the issues that were discussed was the suggested order of attempting the questions. What was concluded was that based on statistics, students who attempted the questions in chronological order (starting with Q1) usually fared better than students who attempt another question first. |
