haha true, i've installed vista VM before n it was horrible!!!

i tried win7 VM but it's the RC build la. quite stable actually, for me it's slightly slower than xp, but not annoying at all. i guess both choices are safe

I am use a Macbook White 2.4Ghz with Intel graphic, Snow Leopard. I am using Parallel Desktop 5 now, it still a bit slow with my 2GB ram. Should I upgrade to 4GB (it going to cost RM270)? How much does it help??

I think you are running low in space. You can try reduce your windows partition size.
I had this problem before when my HDD running in tight free space.

now my free space got around 100gb's but still cant make it. As i search from internet, they said that because of this. I tried idfrag but it still failed, i think i have only 1 choice now, its purchase a backup ext, back it up then restore.

Yeap, if more space doesn't help next is to try disk repair tools like disk warrior, drive genius or techtool pro.
Last is to clone or install to external.

Have you try re-applying last OSX update?

Yes, this issue happen on those that upgrade from 10.5 -> 10.6 most of the time.
Time Machine will do a roll-back for you, so it's not entirely clean.

By clean means wipe your HDD clean by re-partitioning/re-formatting. Then install the Mac OSX from the installer, apply all required OSX/software update from Apple. Finally install Apps you need and move back your files (but not your user folder entirely).

Have you try create a new user and partition from there? Just another try before you spend hours to reconfigure everything.

Just tried create a new user and partition from there. Still failed...
I'm thinking of doing the partition at my own using disc utility, partition out a 40GB and then choose it at bootcamp there, wondering will it works or bootcamp there will still require me to do another partition?

I installed Windows 7 but it doesn't seem to install driver for anything not even the DVD drive or the WiFi chip or my external hard disk.

i have this problem too after i merge a previous boot camp partition. n it's not becoz of upgrading from 10.5.8 to 10.6... even in 10.5 had this problem so many times

never encountered it in 10.4 though..the beta version of bootcamp. somehow bootcamp gets worse for me.. 1.0 was fine, 2.0 better drivers but sometimes got that problem mentioned... now 3.0 my windows xp always cannot boot lol...

Yea, u allocate 1GB to ur windows(xp) or 2gb to vista/7, then you can get a better performance.

Hi Guys

I'm encountering a problem.

I'm using the VmFusion 3 and it took my win7 boot camp and boot up as virtual. In the website, it states that even as I select virtual to boot up my boot camp, I can still restart into my Win7 Bootcamp anytime I want.

However, when I want to boot up again from my boot camp, it's no longer there.

Any idea how I can get it back?

Thanks
