I m actually a designer, looking for a mac.which 1 u guys suggest?MacBook/pro? u can upgrade to 4gb RAM. u can even configure it to 4gb at the online store. yes u can output to VGA, but u'll need a mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter designer got so many types leh . if juz 2D the macbook (or the 13" and low-end 15" MBP) should do fine. if u do 3D modelling, the 15" MBP with geforce 9600m GT is a safer bet. we can help u btter if u tell us more on what do u expect from ur computer. n ur budget of course.

Hi guys, I'm moving to college and plan to buy an apple... My budget is about 3.5k~4.0k++
And i made my research about Macbook... i went to APR just now for more info... and i found out iMac 21.5" only cost 4.0k++
Which one should i go for? iMac or MacBook? i was planning to get a laptop so that i can bring it to Uni... but i can get iMac with the same price as i buy MacBook.... please give some suggestions and advice...
on the other hand... i'm a windows user... and i definitely will need windows to run on my new MAC... but i won't buy ORI software for that... anything i can do for that?
Your precious advice is fully appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry, but I have to ask: Why would you want to get a Mac if you're most definitely going to use Windows? :|
Anyway, in terms of specs, of course the iMac is better. But if you NEED portability then the MacBook is the answer.

Since you say you wanna bring it to college, that the answer for you already, buy a Macbook. Unless you already have extra laptop, so you can get a iMac ~ OR You wanna carry your iMac also can, since everything is wireless and the iMac just need a power cord plug (Kidding Only) =X Just get a Macbook, I love it because of the battery, normally can get around 5 hours for me with wifi and music on. But if you more on Windows, that the different story, I found out even Windows XP, it drain your battery very fast.

Apple works in this way
Same price (or a bit lower) - better hardware
If you want to play the waiting game , I say wait till somewhere middle of next year. Then you'll see Apple would be using 32nm Core i5 processor or i7 for their high-end MacBook Pro
