hi. I gonna buy a new MBP but i cant decide either to go for the i5 or i7 MacBook Pro 13". I want the 13" because of mobility. Can any of you guys here that can help me to decide? Pretty please. im in dilemma.
mostly, ill use the mac for browsing, watching movie, listening to musics. About gaming, maybe just light games such as DotA. Thanks!! |

The benchmark from Anantech shown there is no significant different comparing MBP i5 vs i7. Both are stil dual core.mostly, ill use the mac for browsing, watching movie, listening to musics. I'm considering getting MBP 13' but I don't know to go for base configuration or i7.
The cheapest deal I received was, i5 for 3150 and i7 for 3850 Usage is mixed, sometimes gaming, *mostly 720p movies watching* (All my movies are in HD), songs, occasional photo & video editing. Thanks This post has been edited by [c]ross: Jul 8 2011, 07:50 PM |

hello folks
i am thinking to get an imac, as my desktop(PC) getting older(problems start to appear D: ) and Lion looks quite good and user friendly for me my usage would be: web surfing, documents processing, entertainment(music, video, youtube, 720p/above movies), gaming(TF2), and download movies/torrents i think i will get it after Lion is available, what i mean is pre-installed on the system so which version suits me? other recommendations are welcomed thank you so much |

i'm now a final year university student and my dell xps is now, i think, reaching it's end of usable life. i need an advice on purchasing a new laptop.
trouble is, will it be the timeline x 2nd gen of the mac book air 13 inch (with the sandy bridge one, i hope, have to wait though)? my house already owned a MBA 13" and it is a pleasure to work with that mac. but most of my thesis work require me to use the corel draw application and most software only runs in windows. i noticed that if using boot camp, most of the SSD spaces are consumed by the windows partition. in addition to that, i am also a gamer. a hardcore one, prefer quality and speed. but now still having trouble of thinking which one is it? i dont want a MBP cause it is too bulky for me. i tried that unit already. any advice? |

Im cant confirm since well,.. its integrated Intel. Thing to consider too is using SSD, you might having limited space for bootcamp. |

You have to do that when you order the iMac. Call AppleCare if you want to do it after buying and open the unit. You have to ask their help if they willing to do the exchange for you. In my experience you can, since your unit is within a week. But usually local reseller won't bothered with such request. So long you paid and walk off the store, you basically on your own. That's what I hate about local Apple Authorized resellers.
