BTW, are most of you local? Cos I'm an outstation student and looking for accommodation. Where would you guys recommend? And I do not have a car. Anywhere which is inexpensive?

QUOTE(hydroxyl kumar @ Jun 21 2011, 06:08 PM) From what I heard, it's an easier way to get into Monash. More expensive than other foundations though.QUOTE(jamieyeap91 @ Jun 21 2011, 08:26 PM) BTW, are most of you local? Cos I'm an outstation student and looking for accommodation. Cheaper options will be further, means you might have to walk further. Most outstation students stay in Sun-U or LagoonView which is the nearest to Monash. |

Anywhere which is inexpensive? Well, you can stay in Sun-U Residence(w air-con) or Sun-U Apartment(w/o air-con).These two places are the official hostel for Sunway University and Monash University. However, I heard that Monash's very own hostel, which is just beside the campus, will be ready by next semester. A twin sharing room with air-con in Sun-U Residence is RM730/month per person. I stayed there during year one and find it to be quite convenient. A maid will come daily to collect rubbish and there's a washing machine in every unit. I'm currently staying in Lagoon View, which is just beside Sun-U Residence. A single room cost about RM750, bills and internet are not included. It will come up to be RM850-RM900. |

QUOTE(NightHeart @ Jun 24 2011, 09:08 AM) i borrowed it, but like all textbooks, its a little long winded innit? XD not sure exactly which sections to focus on and which ones i'd have to memorize.edit: also for biz law, is the books thats allowed in the law in commerce book? cos it has all the cases in it, so does that make memorizing cases kinda redundant? just gotta understand which ones are the important ones and how exactly the law works? QUOTE(satsugai @ Jun 24 2011, 09:33 AM) hard nolah haha provided you have interest in reading the business related publications like The Edge or the daily newspaper business section.oh yeah regarding the moneycap notes its in blackboard not webdrive.regarding which to focus, focus on the Mathematics on Finance,Bon Market or is it Short term & medium term (the chapter on notes, bonds, commercial paper those, foreign exchange quite important too) funding.some of the front chapters are common sense if you got interest in finance stuffs (eg what kind of a/c bank have, what kind of loan, etc) yes for biz law its Law in commerce (the $400 book that is very precious, misplace it there goes another $400).it maybe useful to memorise some important cases as it saves you time from flipping the textbook in exam. erm you gotta at least know what each case is about roughly and some of these cases are a MUST to quote for a certain area eg negligence Donoghue v Stevenson (dead snail case) dont worry just ride the 'bullet train' as the law lecturer describe the course |
