QUOTE(janice17 @ Jun 13 2011, 02:54 PM) haha money n cap was such a nightmare. did u attend the revision lecture? aim those topics that nicole picked to dicuss during the revision week. it's super important. this is what i did and managed to score a D Money & Capital Market is actually the easiest subject for the Finance major. Plus, you need the theories from Money & Caps to continue for the following Finance subjects. Don't pursue further if it's a nightmare for you. Plus if i'm not mistaken, the exam questions are taken 108% from the tutorial questions. That's the reason why there's no past year papers. Ask the seniors that just did AFW1300 last semester to confirm this. So if you memorize blindly, HD for this is pretty much secured. But that will only make you suffer in your 2nd year.

Commercial banking is more theories based. So there're lotsa reading to do about banks, it's structure, system, regulations etc if I recall correctly.
There'll be some subject which are heavy on theories while some heavy on calculations. So you gotta be good at both.

Biz Law is fun, but you gotta memorize lotsa cases.
Law subjects are generally an open book subjects, so it's easy to tell who's gonna fail during the exams, just look at the ones who flip through the notes/books the most lol.
The problem with law is, there's just not enough time to finish all the questions. So those who waste time flipping through their notes won't have time to do the last few questions. So it's best to memorize the cases instead, do not flip through your books during exams unless you reallyyyy have to.

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Jun 18 2011, 04:56 AM) Also, running out of time is not an excuse. There are cheap ways to eliminate the problem, i.e. buy faster gel pens. You made it sound like the pen is doing the work instead of our fingers lol. My fingers are slow I guess.
