Ah... I heard Sunway med might be one of the options. Looking more for gov hospitals though. We'll have placements in hospital, rural and community if I'm not wrong. Not too sure about industry/pharmaceuticals but we can always do that on our own during summer breaks.

Thanks for the bday wish! smile.gif

Hmm depends on their arrangement I guess? We'll have a few placements. Those at private hosp maybe just for the dispensary part.

Reading through sunway university website just now, that seems Monash own hostel is being ready with effective from 1st of July 2011 right? where is it located?

Added on November 8, 2010, 10:52 pmAnd can I opt to transfer to Australian campus to complete the rest of the program? What I mean is not to go for an intercampus exchange but to directly transfer to Aussie.

Yes. Results & how much money you have, and the availability of that course in the campus you wanna go to.

the best is if you can get into Clayton, if not Caufield is good too. Clayton is the main campus of Monash and the biggest. I heard they are changing the one in Peninsular from Bachelor of Business & Commerce to the same one like Caufield.
Unless your going there on exchange though I think you want to do an inter-campus transfer, once you transfer you will not be paying Sunway Campus's Fees anymore, you shall pay the fees like any other international students in Aussie, which right now amount to about AUD$ 31k per year which is about RM 94k and it'll probably increase more in the future.

according to the Course Management Office people in our orientation last August, if you want to go to Clayton you need to take Business & Economics statistics. may i know what is this subject about? Is it the same like A Level statistics? And what is the difference between business stats and biz & eco stats. thanks

I'm not from A-Levels so I can't quite tell you how different or similar it is with A-Level statistics but you can view the course synopsis yourself and compare then

ETC1000 - Business and economic statistics

many of the friends here say that studying in Monash is hard and stressful yet the students are struggling hard to graduate.
I would love to know that, it's hard and stressful in what sense?

Strict marking scheme?
impossible mission for assignment?
Questions in final papers are out from lecture notes?

How about the business students there? any comment regarding your course in Monash?

Any medic student from MUFY here?

My cousin wants to know whether 360 is a strict cut-off point for medic or they're more lenient as long as your ISAT score n interview performance is good.

I doubt so. Go check in the Monash website, there's something called In2Monash or something there that would show if there's an equivalent subject to year 12 maths though I doubt Sunway's Foundation in Arts math meet the requirement.
If you do not meet the requirement, there are certain subjects you can take during your degree that can satisfy the requirement, go talk to your course counselor about it.
You need year 12 maths to go to Clayton,Caufield and if I'm not mistaken Peninsular is changing to Bachelor of Business like Caufield instead of Bachelor of Business & Commerce so you need it there to. Other places, it's like Sunway you just need year 11 maths.

Hey guys!
I'm from Sri Lanka and I'll be coming to Monash in February 2011 to do Computer Science!
A couple of questions smile.gif

1) How is the CS Course in Monash what are your experiences if you've done it?
2) I'm applying for an entrance scholarship to Monash because I got 3A* and 2As for my GCE Cambridge A-Levels as well as topping my country in Computing. They said I might get a 50% or 100% scholarship. Has anyone maintained this 100% scholarship throughout their course or is it really difficult?
3) How is the accomodation available on Campus. What's the main difference b/w the 2 room apartment and 2 room condo.
4) Anything else you think I should know smile.gif

Thanks and hope to meet you all there soon!! biggrin.gif

Hi, I don't have any official info but my friend managed to get in with a MUFY score of 340. I think they rely more on the ISAT and interview.
